NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

H50 was the only Original scripted drama in the time slot. Things will change too in 3 weeks when Grimm returns.

  • Edward

Justin121, I think the network averages are so far:

    NBC – 2.8
    CBS – 2.7
    ABC – 2.4
    FOX – 2.0

  • Brad

LMS will totally get renewed with a 1.2!!!!!

And if they had renewed Malibu Country it would be at a 3.6!!!!

  • Justin121

    Edward, thanks.

  • Dan

The problem with CBS dramas is that while they haven’t renewed a midseason drama since The Unit in 2006, if they don’t this year then they won’t have renewed any dramas from this season. That might not be a bad thing as CBS will have more room for new dramas next season. In terms of dramas here’s what I see as renewals in terms of CBS not renewing any new dramas this season.

Renewed: CSI, NCIS, NCIS LA, Criminal Minds, Hawaii 5-0, Blue Bloods, Person of Interest, Elementary, Unforgettable (Summer), Under the Dome (Summer)

Cancelled: The Mentalist, The Good Wife, Hostages, Intelligence, Reckless

  • Tommy M.

@ Dan, for what it’s worth Reckless is going to air in the summer. It may have better odds than you think.

  • Dan

I think ABC just has a problem with comedies on Fridays but I think both Last Man Standing and The Neighbors have full seasons. I still believe somehow ABC will find a way to bring back LMS for a fourth season. Even with Tim Allen a multi camera comedy is still cheaper than a single cam show like Happy Endings.

  • Ray

Actually The Neighbors pretty much holds onto Last Man Standings numbers so blaming ABC’s terrible ratings on The Neighbors is just stupid. The Neighbors did better last season I believe..

  • Derrick

    The Nieghbors WINS !!!!!!!!!!

  • Melissa

Not on topic, but according to Son of the Bronx, the final minute of The Big Bang Theory’s second episode last night rated a 6.8 in A18-49 with 22.75 million viewers. That makes The Crazy Ones’ 3.9 look a little underwhelming IMO.

  • CBS makes me happy

    I do

  • Dan

@Tommy M – Is Reckless definitely going to air in the summer? I could definitely see it due to to CBS’s limited drama space this Spring, unless they shift Undercover Boss or do something like that.

If CBS renews no dramas this season it will be the first time since 2007-2008 (The writers strike) that they renewed none of their shows (Cane, Viva Laughlin, Moonlight, Swingtown were all cancelled) Thats likely.

I’m a little relieved after H50 premiere ratings and I’m quietly hoping for an upward adjustment. This was an awesome episode, explosive and action-packed with some humorous and heart-warming moments. And there was no Doris! Keep up the good wrk guys! H50 was also a nice lead-in for Blue bloods which grew in demo and viewership just like last season when it gained after CSI: NY.

  • Craig

Can’t believe ABC have killed The Neigbors off on this time slot, such a fun well written brilliantly acted show. It deserves better

  • Tommy M.

@ Dan, I might be mixing it up with Extant which I know is planned for Summer.

  • Shepherd

Aside from the ABC comedies, these all seem like very respectable Friday numbers.

  • Lord Seth

Glad to see Shark Tank did better and won the night again. Blue Bloods did fine too.

Not great ratings for Hawaii Five-0, but it’s often tricky to really predict renewals or cancellations for Friday shows.

  • Leah

BB having a great run now, hope it continues when Dracula premieres late October,

  • Percy

Hawaii Five-0 actually did well, hopefully it stays that way!

  • tested

Fox has to be pretty pleased with the MasterChef Jr. Numbers. I liked it. They have some incredible kids there.
