Guess what's back? It's the Once Upon A Time poll!

Last year, the second season of the fairytale drama premiered to a 3.9 adults 18-49 rating (only down a tenth from its series premiere) . Will Once Upon A Time see another big premiere this year? Or can we expect something more modest, considering the finale only notched a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating? Make your predictions below and give us a magical explanation in the comments!

  • Ram510

2.4 for both OUAT and Revenge

  • Phill

OMG the revenge premiere was crazy good! way to put the plot back in track.. i hope it reflects on the ratings

  • Networkman

@Anon and Justin121, I agree that REVENGE was excellent. It was the most entertaining hour of premiere week. The supporting characters are really coming into their own. I really hope the ratings grow. The premiere indicates a more focused season.

  • CBSviewer

    The Simpsons: 3.8
    Bob’s Burgers: 2.7
    Family Guy: 3.1
    American Dad: 2.8

    The Amazing Race: 2.6
    The Good Wife: 1.8
    The Mentalist: 1.9

    Once Upon a Time: 2.5
    Revenge: 2.0
    Betrayal: 1.8

  • brian

2.5 for Once Upon a Time. I think the loss from last season is pretty much permanent and it will take a great season to get new fans.

  • Mark

    Once Upon A Time – 2.9
    Revenge – 2.4
    Betrayal – 1.2

    Breaking Bad – 4.0

    Homeland – 1.2
    Masters of Sex – .5

  • Evan

    Once Upon A Time- 3.0
    Revenge- 2.3
    Betrayal-1.8

I see Once doing well and their ratings used to be very high so for their premiere I see it at least doing a 3.0. I would say Revenge’s rating would be higher but it’s going against Breaking Bad finale and it had low numbers towards the end of its season. Hopefully it can rebound next week but we’ll see. Betrayal might premiere okay I think it might actually do way worse but we’ll see.

  • Samuel

    Once Upon A Time – 2.8
    Revenge – 2.3
    Betrayal – 1.7

Revenge will have taken a hit from the Breaking Bad finale, but it should rebound back to a 2.5(ish) next week.

  • Alex

    Once -2.8
    Revenge 2.5
    Top 25

Honestly not bad numbers at all expecting a lot worst plus once was #2 for the night

  • zerg

    top25 markets

    OUAT 2.7
    RV 2.5
    Betrayal Betrayal 1.4

last year OUAT went from 4.4 top 25 markets to 3.8 so we should wait

  • Katherine

Guessing based on T25 numbers leads to madness.

Well, I think it’s relatively safe to say that Betrayal flopped? Don’t know what ABC was thinking with that. It and Lucky 7 were obvious flops. IMO, they should’ve tried Resurrection in the fall, and at a better time than the Sunday death slot. Betrayal was just an obviously bad idea from the getgo.

  • frodo

Based on the top 25 markets and the early ratings analysis it looks like:

    Revenge 2.5-2.6
    Once Upon A Time 2.6-2.7
    The Good Wife 1.5-1.6
    The Amazing Race 2.3
    Family Guy 2.5-2.6
    Mentalist 1.4
    Betrayal 1.4-1.5 flop
    The Simpsons 2.8-2.9

  • Kissan

    I know the Sunday Ratings:

    ABC

    OUAT:2.7
    Revenge:2.5
    Betrayal:1.4

    CBS

    TAR:2.3
    TGW:1.5
    Mentalist:1.4

    FOX

    The Simpsons:2.9
    Bob’s Burgers:2.0
    Family Guy:2.6
    American Dad:2.0

P.S.-I’m not saying these are the exact ratings but it’s close to them.

  • Simon

If these T25 numbers for Once Upon A Time hold later today then good for them! The Simpsons with that 2.9 demo rating 25 seasons later is EXTREMELY impressive!

  • Kissan

Betrayal flopped hard. I wish ABC had Desperate Housewives on still. That would’ve been a good lead in to Revenge.

  • frodo

Earlier in the evening on ABC was 7 p.m. recap special “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland: Journey to Neverland” at a third-place 3.4/ 6. Next was the third season-premiere of “Once Upon a Time” at a third-place 5.2/ 8 from 8-9.m., which slid by 28 percent from its year-ago season-opener (7.1/11 on 9/30/12), followed by the third season-premiere of aforementioned “Revenge” at a 5.3/ 8 (#3) from 9-10 p.m. One year earlier, then relocated “Revenge” also opened notably stronger with a 6.6/10 on 9/30/12. The bottom line: Consider this a disappointing opening Sunday for ABC.

So looks like in the final ratings Revenge could have surpassed Once Upon a Time at least in total viewers.

  • Kissan

    @Simon

It’s because The Simpsons had football as a lead in. If it wasn’t for that The Simpsons would’ve had like a 1.5 but that’s still good after 25 years.

  • Jayme

    Kissan

If housewives was still on it would not do well.

  • HalCapone

Supposedly there are many more football overruns this season so I imagine that will impact Once Upon’s bottom line. Looks like Revenge retained nearly all of its Once Upon audience. The 10pm hour is gonna be a struggle for any network up against football so perhaps that anemic preliminary 1.4 for Betrayal is about the best any new show can expect. Looks like Betrayal and The Mentalist were tied in the demo.
