Once Upon A Time Episode 301

Adults 18-49: Rating/Share 5.6/15 3.3/9 2.0/5 1.6/4 1.1/3
Adults 18-34: Rating/Share 4.5/14 3.3/10 1.5/5 0.9/3 0.8/3
Total Viewers (million) 15.347 8.062 6.711 9.453 2.922

NOTE: Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC, FOX & CBS (NFL Football)  are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. In multiple East Coast markets, including New York City, CBS's entire primetime lineup started fifteen minutes late due to NFL overtime.

NBC was number one among adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On NBC  Sunday Night Football, which featured a match-up between the Patriots and the Falcons earned a preliminary 6.7 down 29 percent from last week's preliminary 6.9 adults 18-49 rating from 8:30-11PM.

On ABC, a Once Upon A Time clip show earned a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating down 32 percent from last year’s 1.9 on September 30, 2012. The season premiere of Once Upon A Time scored a 2.6 down 33 percent from last year’s 3.9 but up 13 percent from a 2.3 for last spring’s finale. Your predictions were accurate. The season premiere of Revenge garnered a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating down 25 percent from last year’s 3.2 but up 41 percent from a 1.7 for the season 2 finale on May 12. The series premiere of Betrayal notched a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating down 29 percent from a 2.1 for the series premiere of 666 Park Avenue in the timeslot last year and tying Red Widow as ABC's lowest in-season Sunday debut ever. Those who wish to play Fan Excuse Bingo will note that last year, ABC’s primetime lineup was not competing with the series finale of Breaking Bad.

Note: CBS’s primetime line-up was delayed by fifteen minutes in multiple East Coast markets including New York, Chicago, Houston, Detroit, Tampa, Nashville, Hartford, Kansas City, Memphis and Knoxville, due to football overruns. Consider these numbers scrambled! However, it's safe to say that all of CBS's programs are down from last year.

On FOX, NFL Football scored a preliminary 6.3 adults 18-49 rating. The season premiere of The Simpsons earned a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating down 26 percent from last year’s 3.8 on Sunday, September 30, 2012. The season premiere of Bob’s Burgers garnered a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating down 19 percent from last year’s 2.6. The season premiere of Family Guy notched a 2.6  adults 18-49 rating down 21 percent from a 3.3 last year. The season premiere of American Dad scored a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating down 16 percent from last year’s 2.5.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Pretty good for both OUAT and Revenge, Betrayal bomb was obvious

  • were123

Revenge retained a great portion of OUAT’s audience, which is always good.
2.4 (though I’m pretty sure it’s a 2.5) is way up from the finale and many people seemed to like the premiere, so I can see Revenge hovering around 2s the whole season, which is good, though I’m really hopping to see a Scandal kind of raise this season

  • Bad Wolf

The Good Wife : airing opposite Breaking Bad + beginning later than usual + everything returned down.

Let’s see what happens when things calm down and competition soften before declaring it dead. Enough said.

  • Ernest

ahahahhahah OUAT. The season premiere was so bad. Jennifer Morrison´s performance was laughable

  • Cle

will there be adjustments for ABC shows.. ??

  • senor chang

And another new drama bites the dust for ABC. Just a silly observation, but I wonder how Lucky 7/Betrayal would have done with switched timeslots.

Solid for the veteran ABC dramas, though (my guesses were only two-tenths off!) though CBS and FOX were down quite a bit year-to-year.

  • hello

Get the feeling season 4 of Once will be the final season. If it is i hope they decide it before 2015 starts

  • hammard

Obviously may be big adjustments but Betrayal certainly looks like it’s going to go the same route as 666 Park Avenue.
The Good Wife and The Mentalist are likely to be sitting on the bubble all year again even if they adjust up.

  • Mitchell

Oh man, I cannot wait for the crazy Scandal vs. Revenge fights again. I have no idea why fans perceive some sort of direct competition between them, but I’ll crack out the popcorn regardless.

  • Jayme

Its way way to early to say that.

  • SG

    Great return for Revenge!

  • skyfi

As I said, OUAT is almost dead.

  • FabioParme

Not bad for Revenge, especially considering a lot of people at 9PM was probably watching the Breaking Bad series finale.

  • Cyrax86

Still decent for OUAT & Revenge but Betrayal is the undisputed flop everyone predicted it to be. I don’t think it would get replaced though, ABC loves to keep its failures in that slot.

  • POIFanatic

OUAT and Revenge seem to be doing much better than I thought. I hope Mentalist and The Good Wife can pull in higher ratings this season.

  • sam

    Whoo hoo! Simpsons are back

  • Cle

I dnt knw why ppl compare both shows.. I love them both..

  • Percy

Hawaii Five-0s numbers don’t look so bad now lol hopefully it gets renewed!

  • Dylan

revenge WOW AMAZING +0.7% and 1.92M is AWESOME

  • Percysowner

@rob60990 Scandal will be lucky to even match its season finale. Lmao.

Why? And how do Revenge’s ratings affect Scandal? I don’t watch Scandal, so I don’t have a dog in this fight, but Scandal was doing exceptionally well last year and I haven’t heard anything to indicate that it will fall. I mean it could do what Revenge did in its season 2 and become…let’s say not very good, but as of now there is no reason to expect it.
