10/3 Update: Sleepy Hollow has been renewed for a second season.
Dads and The Mindy Project both stumbled badly out of the gate, and both are likely to be canceled by the end of the season. While the bear doesn't predict the timing of any moves, it's worth noting that second season shows are typically allowed to air their entire season of ordered episodes, regardless of their eventual fate at the end of the season.

This season will be American Dad's final season on Fox (it will continue on TBS), and Glee has already been renewed for the 2014-15 season.

The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

*shows no longer on the air have their Renew/Cancel Index "frozen" at the point they left the schedule.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).

(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

TVbytheNumbers is really blowing it, they are offering predictions where no prediction is yet possible. Sure on something like Lucky7, everyone knows its toast. But you guys are writing about other predictions and will be flipping them back and forth. As if something going in and out of the bubble is meaningful. The bubble is default.

You guys look like you have subscribed to a stock picking Monkey tossing darts at a WSJ, method of analysis. Your methodology fluctuates far too much.

Right now the insight of this site is basically, OH LOOK the Number is low. Fine, but don’t claim you have a method for your renew/cancel index.

Should it say American Dad is in it’s last season? If it is continuing on TBS, then it isn’t really going to end, right?

    What about Renew/Cancel Index today??????

Way NO info about today Renew/Cancel Index???????

I think FOX should have rethought about doing glee for two seasons instead of simply 1 to see how things would go or better end it while the ratings were still modest. Yes, the show has been renewed for two seasons. I don’t think anyone is really ignoring that, but there’s also the fact that the ratings are falling. The season premiere was 5.2 I believe when it was a little over 7 mil in the beginning of season 4 (although it steadily declined as the season continued and got worse). So although I doubt FOX will pull back on season 6 I do wonder if maybe they’ll give it a shorter season than a full 22 episodes.

Boo :( I like The Mindy Project so I am going to choose to believe it will pull through.
