NBC back on top…when was the last time that they won week one of a broadcast yeasr

  • ABCDEF

    Hmmmmm… last season?

  • Craig

    Last year

I think the better question is when was the last time ABC came in 2nd place for premiere week? I honestly don’t know so no need to be snarky if it’s happened in the recent past!

NBC premiering well in demo and viewers the same as last year.

The true question is will freefall into a dungeon this winter without football and Voice leading the way?

Although I must say NBCdoes have the Winter Olympics as a good filler this year and by the time that ends The Voice will be back to carry the season again.

Hopefully new shows can stabilize and not be as leadin dependent as shows for the network typically have been in the past!

Anybody else think ABC might be climbing up the ladder this year in terms of ranking?

  • Fred

I guess S.H.I.E.L.D. helped boost ABC to 2nd. Tuesday is now formidable for ABC. With still powerhouse MODERN FAMILY and solid GREY’S, SCANDAL, OUAT, REVENGE, CASTLE etc….. ABC has a decent chance of maintaining the #2 position. But it will be tough.

is it possible that CBS can go from first to last

  • Fred

    @mbmike

It is possible. CBS is not the powerhouse it once was. Monday is weaker now. Tuesday is currently the most competitive night thanks to S.H.I.E.L.D. Many of their procedurals/dramas aren’t huge anymore.
    Lucky they have BBT.

Anybody else think ABC might be climbing up the ladder this year in terms of ranking?

I wouldn’t so much consider it ABC climbing up the ladder, more so that Fox and CBS are stumbling down the ladder quickly while ABC is staying where it was…

With the disappointing results of the second airing of ABC’s S.H.I.E.L.D. it looks like ABC will have a very difficult time maintaining 2nd place. The declining ratings hurt ABC’s sitcom block as well. While a 3.0+ is still very impressive, it’s not massive. I probably will settle in the mid 2′s the rest of the season. Def not what ABC was hoping for.
However these days 2.0+ rating are more than acceptable.
