via press release:

“Scrubbing In” Premieres Thursday, October 24 at 10:00 P.M. ET/PT on MTV
A recent survey of 18-34 year-olds conducted by the National Society of High School Scholars found that of the professions most coveted by Millennials, St. Jude’s Hospital was the #1 preferred employer and eight of the top 25 preferred employers cited were hospitals or health service companies. Now more than ever, Millennials are choosing professions within the health care industry as it provides financial security, benefits and an attractive work-life balance.
MTV’s new docu-series “Scrubbing In” chronicles the unique situations that nine traveling nurses face on a daily basis as well as a look into their exciting and rewarding profession. Assigned to work at two Orange County, CA hospitals for 12 weeks, these nurses have left their hometowns and lives behind for short-term contracts, with the added benefit of exploring a new city. For Tyrice, Chris and Fernando this isn’t their first tour and they’re considered experts of the program. For first-timers Chelsey, Michelle, Crystal, Nikki and Heather, this is a new journey they’re embarking on together, looking for a change from their nursing jobs in Pittsburgh, PA. Also joining the team of newbies is Adrian who hails from San Diego, CA.
Together the group faces new responsibilities and challenges in their intense career in nursing. Outside of their comfort zone these nurses have to make new friends, maintain existing friendships, dive into a new dating pool and continuously prove themselves to the staff nurses at their new hospital. It’s a lot for these twenty-something’s to take on but this energetic, fearless and outgoing group of young nurses are determined to have it all, including a rewarding career and personal life. Scrubbing In premieres Thursday, October 24 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

They look like the type that would gossip about/make fun of their ugly patients (as well as the co-workers that aren’t as fortunate in the looks department).

This looks terrible. It will provide a stigma on nurses. Most after working an 8 or a 12.on the nursing floor will not go party after work because your lucky enough if you find the time and energy to watch tv and eat after work. I don’t think most people understand the toll put in your body and mostly your mind in nursing. If this show is about nursing it should show the abuse nursing receive everyday and how we r treated like slaves. Mtv won’t do that though, mtv loves the drinking and partying lifestyle

Candy Clouds, you are correct. Have you seen the tweets Chris Meyers (reality star from show and Registered Nurse) tweeted? The Change dot org website petitioning for the show to be shutdown has them. Anyway, Mr. Meyers contemplates why people cannot speak English, why girls complain about being roofied, and how there should be an IQ test before people can breed. There are more. All are appalling and go against every Nursing Ethic nurses abide by. Probably why he deleted them.
