Breaking Bad Fianle 2

The Breaking Bad finale was Sunday's top cable program with a huge 5.3  up from last week's 3.4 adults 18-49 rating . Talking Bad came in second with a 2.3 way up from last week's 0.5  adults 18-49 rating when it aired after Low Winter Sun

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our principal source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in the top 100.

The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search for specific shows.

    Can someone explain to me how cedar cove was renewed with those numbers

  • Mary

    Was Cedar Cove renewed? Yay! I love that show.

    To answer your question–CC airs on Saturday nights. Since there’s not a lot of competition (hardly any), I’m sure expectations are low.

  • josh

    OMG BREAKING BAD MARATHON everywhere AMC made tons of money this week

  • svsnt021

    @Nick
    Could you please post numbers for Sunday’s 8/29 episode of Sandwich King (FOOD, 11:00AM ET) and how did it fare against the other FOOD Sun AM shows? As always, thanks very much in advance!!!

  • Ganon

    @Nick

    Can you post the 18-49 ratings for Adult Swim’s Saturday 11:30-3:30 portion? Thanks in advance.

  • Mike

    I actually watched HBO’s sunday night comedies (to get my money’s worth paying HBO’s big price increase)and thought that Eastbound & Down & Hello Ladies were both pretty bad.One has run completely out of steam,the other like an unfunny Entourage ripoff.The show that I’m paying HBO $18 a month for-Boardwalk Empire,was excellent though.The most exciting,actionpacked episode in a slow season by far.

  • Ron

    Does anyone know what Breaking Bad’s Rating’s averaged each season they were on total viewers and 18-49?

  • Nick

    @Mike – keep in mind Hallmark doesn’t sell on the A18-49 demo. They’re older and female skewing. This past episode of Cedar Cove was over a .3 in the W25-54 demo.

    Sunday:

    Sandwich King (Food Network)
    -11 AM: 0.671 million viewers, 0.21 A18-49 (#2 in both total viewers and the demo – to Guy’s Big Bites and Bobby Flay’s BBQ Addiction, respectively)

    Copper, 9/22 (BBC America)
    -10 PM: 0.445 million viewers, 0.06 A18-49

    Saturday:

    The White Queen (Starz)
    -9:01 PM: 0.896 million viewers, 0.28 A18-49

    Adult Swim: A18-49 Rank (11:30 PM-3:30 AM) –
    1. The Boondocks (11:30 PM): 0.69
    2. Bleach (12 AM): 0.60
    3. Naruto (12:30 AM): 0.50
    4. One Piece (1 AM): 0.43
    5. Soul Eater (1:30 AM): 0.42
    6. Sword Art Online (2 AM): 0.37
    7. IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix (2:30 AM): 0.28
    8. Star Wars: Clone Wars (3 AM): 0.27

    To cut down the clutter, I won’t provide K6-11 as the difference between that and K2-11 is negligible across the board –

    CW, 9/21: P2+ Rank (7 AM-12 PM) –
    1. Dragon Ball Z Kai (10 AM): 1.317 million viewers, 1.18 K2-11, 1.00 K9-14
    2. Justice League Unlimited (9:30 AM): 1.314 million viewers, 0.99 K2-11, 0.80 K9-14
    3. B-Daman Crossfire (10:30 AM): 1.015 million viewers, 0.91 K2-11, 0.90 K9-14
    4. Spectacular Spider-Man (9 AM): 0.900 million viewers, 0.64 K2-11, 0.65 K9-14
    5. Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal (11:30 AM): 0.850 million viewers, 0.51 K2-11, 0.81 K9-14
    6. Yu-Gi-Oh (11 AM): 0.842 million viewers, 0.58 K2-11, 0.85 K9-14
    7. Bolts & Blip (8:30 AM): 0.710 million viewers, 0.64 K2-11, 0.46 K9-14
    8. Sonic X (8 AM): 0.687 million viewers, 0.68 K2-11, 0.48 K9-14
    9. Rescue Heroes (7:30 AM): 0.465 million viewers, 0.51 K2-11, 0.31 K9-14
    10. Adventures of Chuck & Friends (7 AM): 0.247 million viewers, 0.24 K2-11, 0.12 K9-14

    Friday:

    Strike Back (Cinemax)
    -10:02 PM: 0.309 million viewers, 0.09 A18-49

  • Jackson

    Hi Nick, you could please post the ratings of the 2 Strike Back airings before this one? I can’t find them ANYWHERE. It would be sooo great.

  • Weez

    @ Mike

    I also ended up watching both Eastbound & Down and Hello Ladies after Breaking Bad had finished (caught the encore of Boardwalk, which I agree was excellent, though I don’t think the season has been slow so much as meticulous), and couldn’t disagree more about your reaction to either show.

    Besides sharing the same location, Hello Ladies literally has nothing in common with Entourage in terms of atmosphere, tone, or comedic style (and really, Entourage was more of a dramedy). It’s the kind of cringe-worthy comedy that Stephen Merchant excels at, but you can tell that it’s twinged with a small bit of sadness and self-realization. The pilot was pretty cut-and-dry, I’ll give you that, but I think it is usually accepted that most comedies take a few episodes before they find their footing.

    I also found the season four opener of Eastbound & Down to be decidedly different from what we got. The first season of this show was undoubtedly the best, but I think the second and especially the third season get too much flack. They were both consistently funny, even if they were a bit meandering. But this season had a really downbeat, disillusioned atmosphere that the series hasn’t really had before, so I get the feeling that McBride and Hill are at least going to try going to some new places with the character. We’ll see, though. In any case, it was funny.

    Now on to catch up with Homeland (already watched the Masters of Sex pilot on YouTube, and really enjoyed it), and Low Winter Sun (which I will at least finish out the season for, even though it is some hot garbage). Sunday nights are freaking packed. And The Walking Dead (which also isn’t very good, but for whatever reason I continue to watch…) will be back sooner than later.

  • Bill

    Eastbound and Down #’s?

  • svsnt021

    @Nick
    Thank you so much, Nick!!! Appreciate greatly your invaluable info!!!

  • JR

    Nick, can you tell me how “Super Soul Sunday” (at 11am) and “Six Little Mchgees” at 10:30

  • karin

    Go Homeland,the BB ‘s hype needs to stop….btw Masters of sex ,terrible ratings

  • Ultima

    @Ron
    Does anyone know what Breaking Bad’s Rating’s averaged each season they were on total viewers and 18-49?

    Don’t have the numbers for the first two seasons, but they were very low. Prior to season 5, only one episode (4×01) broke two million viewers and a 1.0 rating.

    Season 3 – 0.7 rating, 1.52 million viewers

    Season 4 – 0.8 rating, 1.87 million viewers

    Season 5A – 1.3 rating, 2.60 million viewers

    Season 5B – 3.1 rating, 6.04 million viewers

  • Mike

    i love breaking bad but cant say im interested in the spin of which will be a prequel

  • Richard

    I was disappointed with the Hello Ladies pilot. HBO will have put on nine comedies since 2011 by the end of 2013. Only two have been successful so far.

  • Ultima

    @Ron

    Also, the series premiere for Breaking Bad was a 0.6 rating and 1.4 million viewers.

    The 700+% increase in viewership is almost certainly a record for a drama, although it’s possible that Cheers and/or M*A*S*H saw a larger increase than that.

  • Divo

    So what do we think drop dead diva will do starting this Sunday ratings wise and will this be the last season?!

  • LISZ

    @Nick

    Thaks!!!!
