AMBER TAMBLYN UPPED TO SERIES REGULAR

ON “Two and a Half Men

LOS ANGELES – Oct. 2, 2013 —Amber Tamblyn, who began guest starring on Two and a Half Men this season, has been promoted to series regular.  Tamblyn plays Jenny, Charlie Harper’s illegitimate daughter who moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and to connect with what’s left of her family.  Jenny’s now living in Walden’s (Ashton Kutcher) beach house, along with her uncle Alan (Jon Cryer). She happens to like everything her dad liked – including women.

Tamblyn is an actress and writer who starred in the title role on “Joan of Arcadia,” on the Network, which earned her both Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations. Her other television credits include “House MD,” “The Unusuals” and “General Hospital,” among others.  Her feature film credits include “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” films, “127 Hours” and “Stephanie Daley,” for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.  Tamblyn has published two books of poetry and prose. Currently, she is writing her third book of poems about the lives of child star actresses and she recently completed the screenplay “Paint It Black,” based on the book of the same name. She is the producer of “The Drums Inside Your Chest,” an annual poetry concert.

The 11th season of Two and a Half Men is broadcast Thursdays, 9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.

great news! I really love her character, and the 11×1 was the best one ever since Sheen left the show.

  • The Cool Max

Good for Amber! I love her work.

  • Casey

This didn’t take long, I enjoyed her first episode. I could be wrong but it kind of seems like Walden is the odd man out in terms of really they should almost call it the Harpers and be done with it at this point. I want to see how he fits in with this family dynamic.

  • Pavelsauce

That’s good news. I can’t wait to see what more she has to offer, especially since I enjoyed the last episode.

  • DenverDean

Obviously the feedback from the first episode pleased the producers. Plus, I’m sure the subsequent episodes they have filmed showed that she had chemistry with the cast. I’m guessing this will solidify a S12 renewal. They are clearly investing and finding new ways to breathe life into the series. Who would’ve thought?

  • Gary

So does the fact that she likes women make her the “1/2″ of Two And A Half Men? Seems sexist….

  • TV Viewer

Since so many of CBS’ new shows have been duds so far this year, (and because this is the final season of How I Met Your Mother), I agree with DeverDean, (and many others), that Two and a Half Men will probably be renewed. With as many of the current cast as possible. I doubt if they want any more people leaving the program.

  • Robbie Bishop

I really like Amber, but I feel this character and show are both a waste of her time and talent.

Great news for a pretty good actress.

    Fantasy scenario.

Jenny and her girlfriend invite Walden to play a game of strip poker with them.

Walden wins so many hands that he bets the house beach house.

    Walden loses. Jenny wins.

Jenny takes ownership of the beach house.

    Walden leaves program.

Two and a Half Men becomes funny again!
