New York, NY (October 3, 2013) – MTV today announced that a deluxe 90-minute edition of the new MTV documentary film “Miley: The Movement” will air on Sunday, October 6 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, featuring all-new, never-before-seen footage and extended scenes.
If Sunday is too far away, fans can band together to create a “movement” of their own by tweeting the hashtag #UnlockMiley to access two clips from the deluxe edition early and exclusively through the MTV App for iPhone and iPad devices. Fans can track the unlock status in real time at unlockmiley.mtv.com.
For the last four months, MTV has been granted unmatched access to Cyrus, who unabashedly takes viewers on her whirlwind journey from tween television sensation to one of pop music’s most magnetic and unapologetically controversial artists. Building off the 60-minute premiere version, “Miley: The Movement” deluxe edition captures even more behind-the-scenes moments with Cyrus as she gears up for the release of her debut RCA Records album, “Bangerz” on Tuesday, October 8.
In addition, fans of the top-rated MTV series “Girl Code” will get an exclusive first look at the second season trailer during “Miley: The Movement” deluxe edition and ahead of the series Tuesday, October 29 premiere.
