October 4, 2013 (Burbank, CA)— NIKITA will wrap up her mission with a final six-episode run beginning Friday, November 22, 9:00-10:00 pm ET on The CW, airing over six straight weeks.

Framed for assassinating the President at the end of last season, Nikita (Maggie Q) finds herself at the beginning of season four alone and on the run, hunted as the most wanted woman in the world.  But when she follows up a lead that could clear her name, Nikita unexpectedly finds herself reunited with her old team.  Forced to work together again, Nikita and her allies have to get past their emotional wounds in order to take down their nemesis, Amanda (Melinda Clarke).  In the process, they discover that the plot to frame Nikita is actually part of a much larger conspiracy, one that could lead to global catastrophe.

NIKITA is from Sesfonstein Productions, Inc. and Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Craig Silverstein (“Bones,” “Standoff”), David Levinson (“The Commish”), McG (“Supernatural,” “Chuck,” “The O.C.,” “Charlie’s Angels” movies), Peter Johnson (“Supernatural,” “Chuck”), Danny Cannon (“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Dark Blue”) and Carlos Coto (“Heroes,” “24”).

It was renewed not because of syndication. It is just a proper closure for fans. Nothing more. Syndication did NOT save the show.

  • Finta

I kind of hope Reign flops so Nikita can go back in its original timeslot for is final six!

  • John A

Reign would have to get 0.1 for that to happen.

  • Alan

Nikita fans should stop b*tching about how short the season will be. 90210 had an awful series finale because they didn’t gave it a final season, so, you should be grateful! Your show is getting a proper ending!

  • Jon

I think the CW is affraid to air it on a regular weekday if it had gotten 0.6 / 0.8 they would not know what to do with themselves lol

  • Brandy

@A TM end Oct 18.Oct 25 Carrie Diaries starts season two and Katy Perry IHear Music special.I assume after Oct 25& between Nov22, they’ll air repeats of the new shows pilots.

  • Kyle

I Don’t care that Catching Fire comes out on that date I won’t miss Nikita for anything!

  • Wright

Such a good show. It will be missed.

    @John A:

“Mini series or limited series would be better. 6 episodes isnt a season.”

The Office, Parks & Recreation, Seinfeld & The Walking Dead fans wouldn’t agree with ya…

  • Ram510

CW please give this show more episodes

  • Guardian Owl

Spartacus: Gods of the Area was 6 episodes and was awesome. This just means the season should be all mythology and no filler.

“Good to see it have a date finally but, the last episode will air in between Christmas and new years. Thats a bad idea.”

Tucking the show out of the way where its low ratings can do the least harm makes perfect sense. Do you seriously think they are airing this for the ratings?

  • Anthony Parello (AP076)

    Well put JJA.

  • Bad Wolf

Nikita is this decade’s Veronica Mars : an underrated and short-lived gem.
I learnt to appreciate quality more than quantity.

Regarding UK shows, I really don’t understand you. 3 episodes of Sherlock are 10 times better than a whole 24-episodes season of any CBS crime show. British viewers actually care about their best shows : see the success of Broadchurch, Downton Abbey, Doctor Who… American viewers tend to ignore them : Veronica Mars, The Good Wife, Alias, Brothers & Sisters, Boston Legal, The West Wing’s final seasons… While lazy and repetitive shows like CSI, NCIS, Bones and the like seem to go on forever.

  • Rook

I love Nikita, but I really hope it goes out on a 0.0, just a big middle finger to all the haters.

  • Ram510

Are they going to air a new episode on Black Friday or will they have a Thanksgiving break just a week after the premiere?

  • DenverDean

In cable, this six episode “season” would be S3 Part II. However, it was smart of CW to use this as original programming post-sweeps. It has plagued the network that it has nothing new during that dead period. Plus, it give proper closure. Wish it was eight or 10 episodes, but whatever.

  • Ram510

    @ Gaurdian Owl

Gods of the Arena was hands down the worst of all the Spartacus series

  • Ram510

CW doesn’t have anything else on its roster that would do much better during November sweeps, so what are you talking about

  • Jon

I think you are in the minority there Gods of the Arena kicked major ass look how popular Gannicus became from that season.
