October 4, 2013 (Burbank, CA)— NIKITA will wrap up her mission with a final six-episode run beginning Friday, November 22, 9:00-10:00 pm ET on The CW, airing over six straight weeks.

Framed for assassinating the President at the end of last season, Nikita (Maggie Q) finds herself at the beginning of season four alone and on the run, hunted as the most wanted woman in the world.  But when she follows up a lead that could clear her name, Nikita unexpectedly finds herself reunited with her old team.  Forced to work together again, Nikita and her allies have to get past their emotional wounds in order to take down their nemesis, Amanda (Melinda Clarke).  In the process, they discover that the plot to frame Nikita is actually part of a much larger conspiracy, one that could lead to global catastrophe.

NIKITA is from Sesfonstein Productions, Inc. and Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Craig Silverstein (“Bones,” “Standoff”), David Levinson (“The Commish”), McG (“Supernatural,” “Chuck,” “The O.C.,” “Charlie’s Angels” movies), Peter Johnson (“Supernatural,” “Chuck”), Danny Cannon (“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Dark Blue”) and Carlos Coto (“Heroes,” “24”).

Glad for the Nikita fans–get it while you can, guys

Series finale will air, Dec. 27th

    Can you say, burn-off?

That said, CW must be appreciated for giving fans a final season.

  • rob60990

    holiday burnoff lmao

  • Ultima

Are they going to air a new episode on Black Friday or will they have a Thanksgiving break just a week after the premiere?

The six-episode run will be uninterrupted. They clearly want it doing as little ratings damage as possible.

TM end Oct 18.Oct 25 Carrie Diaries starts season two and Katy Perry IHear Music special.I assume after Oct 25& between Nov22, they’ll air repeats of the new shows pilots.

ANTM is just taking that week off, the finale is 15 November.

To be fair, 90210’s finale was made last minute because the cancellation was announced right when the show was halfway through finishing what was supposed to be the final episode of the season and not the series. But at the very least, it didn’t left us hanging with a lot and it was very open-ended (such as Silver’s cancer diagnosis).

And yeah, I’m happy that Season 5 as a whole closed a lot of loose ends from seasons’ past (missing Wilson, hit-and-run, Naomi’s MIA mother, Cousin Emily) so I’m definitely going to pissed if they went out without resolving those.

Nikita will run its 6 episodes until December 27, and Carrie Diaries will run 9 through that date too.

My guess is if Carrie Diaries is capped at 13 episodes and 9 are slated to air through December 27. The remaining episodes will finish by January 24, and likely a new series will replace it. If Reign flops then maybe its remaining episodes could pair with it but that’s unlikely.

I wonder what will air fridays by February. I doubt CW would want to launch a new drama there.

  • Dan

It’s not considered a Burn Off for Nikita, its new episodes airing through December 27, same with Carrie Diaries airing new episodes through that date. Both shows just got late starts.

A burnoff would be saturdays or the summer, people should be happy that Nikita is airing soon.

This CW schedule is likely very stable. I could picture this.

22 eps for Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast.
    9 eps airing Oct-Dec
    7 eps airing Jan-March
    6 eps airing April-May

22-23 eps for Supernatural & Originals
    9 eps airing Oct-Dec
    7 eps airing Jan-March
    7 eps airing April-May

23 eps of Arrow & Tomorrow People
    9 eps airing Oct-Dec
    7 eps airing Jan-March
    7 eps airing April-May

    23 eps of Vampire Diaries
13 eps of Reign airing Oct-Jan
The 100 or Star Crossed timeshared with VD

13 eps of Carrie Diaries aired Oct 25-Jan24
6 eps of Nikita aired Nov 22-Dec 27

Nikita is the best show on CW.

  • Cam

6 episodes??? WTF. Why even bother? How much more could it cost to make it 10 or 12?

  • anti-bondoel

Look at all the Nikitards congregating! It’s so adorable. :D

  • Brandy

@Ultima, how can that be?Last night (Oct 4) was episode 10 of 12/13& as I said Oct 25 CD starts and a Katy Perry Iheart radio special airs.If the finale airs on Nov 15, that would mean OCT 25,Nov 1,Nov8 ANTM would be off after airing all but one episodes, the finale episode. They wouldn’t run 1 episodes with a week off then take three weeks off then come back with one episode would they ?

  • Samuel

I do like Nikita but I am PRAYING it pulls a 0.0 one evening!! It would be incredibly funny, and possibly make broadcast television history?

  • rgxx

This show never made it to my schedule but I was alsways wanting to watch it- – now that it is a show with an ending – I will check it out when it’s complete DVD.

  • rgxx

They are only doing 6 more because I think that will make the 88 minmum episodes to make syndication. That’s all CW wants – to make some money back – It will work in syndication.

  • Noel

I am just glad we get proper closure! Long live Nikita!

  • Tessa

The CW probably things people would be LESS likely to start watching Nikita (which is highly-serialized) had it been abruptly canceled.

Bingo! This is CW’s (smart) move to cash in on the DVD sales. People are not likely to buy something that is akin to a book missing its last chapter.

I wish Nikita fans the best final 6 episodes they could get. I’ve not always been a fan of some of their overzealous comments but they deserve to enjoy the rest of their show and feel happy about it.

  • David H.

I am so mad that they are shortchanging this awesome show! But at least it will gets its proper ending….hopefully.

  • Ryan

This makes me sad but I like that the’re giving the 6 more episode. more hot shritless guy and it could have saved its self but really theres no where the show could have gone they have done just about ever thing hope it has a happy ending and not Nikita dies or Alex or Mike That would suck! On the bright side they have some good shows now that the’re going to cannled them later sooo watch them while you still can. To end on a happy note we still have 6 episodes coming can’t wait lets hope mike doesn’t wear a shirt :)
