Lucky 7

Lucky 7 has been canceled by ABC after just two low rated episodes. This week's installment garnered a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating. It will be replaced, for now, with repeats of Scandal.

I was right for once this year!

I knew it was coming but :(

Lucky 7 was the only new drama I liked this season.

Saturday burn off? The rest of the episodes online?

    Really lucky show.

Great idea start scandal repeats make them fan favorite episodes.

  • CrimeDawg

Can’t burn them off on Saturdays until after the new year because of College Football.
I guess NBC can be happy they didn’t have the first cancellation this year, so there’s that.

Not surprised. One of the worst shows ever.

  • Harvey

I am sure Dana Delany (Body of Proof) is having a hearty laugh at the expense of ABC. She did not pull rock star numbers, but it was better than Lucky 7 and Betrayal.

I’m a bit disappointed, but this was expected. The odd one out in a timeslot dominated by two established hits. I might just have to get into The Biggest Loser this season (unless that’s a bad idea), then The Voice, and then SHIELD (on delay) at 10 moving forward.

I don’t watch it, but I do feel bad for the fans.

I saw this coming, but it’s still very upsetting. Was a very good show. So I’m assuming the remaining produced episodes will be aired Saturdays this summer? Damn, that’s a long wait.

For those upset over the cancellation, may I suggest digging up DVD copies (or Netflix) of a show from a few years back, Windfall — similar plot, better actors/characters. It only lasted 13 episodes, but much better fate than this drivel!

Notice they buried this on Friday afternoon. ABC has to be smarting that they were the first ones to have to cancel. They’ll be more soon. Scandal will not do anything for the demo since it repeats horribly. This is why BOP was necessary for ABC schedule. A true procedural, but whatever.

Don’t worry, there’s not that many!

Paul Lee strikes again. Cancels Body of Proof for this. Hopefully Dana Delaney, Jeri Ryan, et al getting a good laugh

I like that ABC is airing Scandal repeats, they are really nursing this show even though it doesn’t really repeat well. I hope this helps Scandal reach a 4.0 soon

Makes me wonder if Betrayal falls to a .7 will it be cancelled as well or will they just let it finish out it’s season?

I tried watching the first show, but ended up doing laundry instead. It seemed to be a depressing story about people without any money whose lives weren’t really going to be improved much by winning the lottery.

I’m not surprised, but very disappointed. I literally just watched the first episode today, and thought it was pretty good.

ABC has a strong mixture of shows this season, quality wise. Both my favorite (Trophy Wife) and least favorite (Super Fun Night) new comedies this season are on ABC.

Good news for Lucky 7 fans though is that ABC tends to air all episodes of their shows after being prematurely canceled. Last year, for example, there was:

666 Park Avenue – Summer Burn Off
    Don’t Trust the B – Released Online
Family Tools – Finished it’s run through summer
How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) – Finished it’s run
Last Resort – Finished it’s run
    Zero Hour – Summer Burn-off

I’m guessing Lucky 7 might get a Saturday burn-off sometime after January

  • Ronald

    this was fast tbh

Is it too late for ABC to do what CBS did for Unforgettable and bring back BoP for summertime to make up for their travestous cancellation decision? (No, travestous is not a word. Just a Perfectly Cromulent one.)

But seriously, Scandal? I still have no idea how that one became such a massive hit. Hopefully come January ABC will put Mind Games here. At least then they’d have something worth watching on Tuesdays at 10.
