Lucky 7

Lucky 7 has been canceled by ABC after just two low rated episodes. This week's installment garnered a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating. It will be replaced, for now, with repeats of Scandal.

    I’m going to laugh my butt off when Scandal repeats (which is what will air there now) does better in the demo than Chicago Fire!!!

  • CrimTV

    @Dante

    So you’re suggesting that Scandal repeats will get over a 2.6?

  • Dante

    @CrimTV

    Perhaps. Or… Chicago Fire will drop to a level that we haven’t seen and Scandal will do better. Either option.

  • Alecia

    @ Dante

    I know you hate Chicago Fire but you’re being ridiculous. There is no way in hell a repeat of Scandal is going to beat CF and I say this as a fan of the former.

  • CrimTV

    @Dante

    So basically you think that Chicago Fire will drop to low-mid 1’s because that’s what the Scandal repeats will get.

  • Juan

    Sad cause I really liked the characters, and the story had potential.

    TV Expert made a typo, now should be not which is clear if read his whole post and not just a fragment. And I agree with him. BoP would never be a big or medium hit but it was a small scale ‘hit’ in that it had a fairly steady fan base and decent total viewers despite low end demo numbers. It was an inhouse ABC production and, IMHO, would have been decent in syndication. If they could have kept costs low, and one 13 episodes per season for 2 or 3 more years, or longer I think it would have made them money in the long run plus been a good pinch hitter in the fall for just these situations.

    ymmv

    PS: 3 Simple words to end the shutdown … Call the vote … say it loud and often to the House Speaker & House Republicans … then remember who did this when you vote in November 2014 & 2016.

    What a shame, I was really hoping Lucky 7 would do well (not because I’m a fan of the show but because I’m a big fan of one of the actresses on there.

    *rescues Anastasia Phillips from the Cancellation Bear so she can do a voice for season 7 of Total Drama*

  • ReallyTired

    ALL ABC dramas, except Scandal and Grey have got to go.

    @ReallyTired

    Yeah I think you are really tired got get some sleep… You think that abc would get rid of its dramas?!!??! they may not be amazing ratings but ABC’s developed and seasoned dramas do fairly well… What they need to do is stop spending money on more comedies which flop and work more on their dramas and maybe another reality competition so that DWTS is on in Fall Bachelor MidSeason New Reality in Spring and Bacherlorette Summer

    No surprises there.

    I do not watch nor care about Chicago Fire, but this page is for the grieving process of Lucky 7’s sudden death.
    Keep your love for Chicago Fire out of here.

    Are you for real? I thought this show was a keeper!!! ROFLMAO

    Called this one when shows were announced. Kind of makes up for me figuring the only show that might beat it to cancellation was Sleepy Hollow.

    You just knew there was gonna be *some* kind of early announcement for SH!

  • THE OLD MAN

    Those Lucky 7 are just so unlucky! Looks like the bear will be a lady tonight.

    Am I surprised? No

    New shows can’t succeed on their own with the way ABC books them. The only way they can succeed is if they have pre-attached hype. I think that they need a huge revamp to their schedule for mid-season.

    Sundays:
    8- Dancing with the Stars (With Football gone, a revamped DWTS can own Sundays in mid-season, staying way from Voice and Idol’s competition. Air The Bachelor in between both cycles of the show.)
    10- Revenge/Betrayal (One of them airs its back 9 with The Bachelor and the other with DWTS).

    Mondays:
    8- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
    9- Scandal
    10- Castle (Replace with Mind Games around March)

    Tuesdays:
    8- Once Upon a Time
    9- Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (Replace with The Black Box).
    10- Resurrection

    Wednesdays:
    8- Super Fun Night / Mixology
    9- Modern Family / The Goldbergs
    10- Nashville

    Thursdays:
    8- Shark Tank (Two solid ABC hits back-to-back. Can’t go wrong, especially with a cheaply produced reality show.)
    9- Grey’s Anatomy
    10- The Assets (Replace with The Quest)

    Fridays:
    8- The Middle / Back in the Game (Family sitcom Friday carried by a strong earner. Unlike usual network tactics, The Middle won’t be moved to Friday as a punishment. It will instead be moved to carry the block.)
    9- Last Man Standing / Trophy Wife
    10- 20/20

    They can keep Killer Women, Wife Swap, The Taste, and a Suburgatory/The Neighbors combo as spackle for whoever fails miserably.

    @CrimTV – Why do you invade every post with comments on other stories? Just wait for the site to post the article you’re talking about, for sobbing out loud.

    Not surprised by L7 being the 1st cancellation. Not sure if ABC wants to throw in another new show or move an established show to Tues @ 10p. Maybe Castle possibly ?

    “this page is for the grieving process of Lucky 7?s sudden death”

    You could not possibly have typed this with a straight face.

    While Dante’s theories on the fate of Chicago Fire and his theories about how Scandal repeats will do, are insane, the post is certainly appropriate for this discussion.
