For the First Time Ever in C3 Data, “GMA” Wins the 2012-2013 Television Season

“GMA” Scores Strongest Season Performance Ever in C3 Projections and Marks Third Consecutive Season of Growth

Based on Nielsen’s C3 data (Commercial Data + 3 Day Playback), ABC News’ “Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 for the 2012-13 television season in Total Viewers (5.066 million), Adults 25-54 (1.825 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.324 million), according to Nielsen Media Research.  “GMA” won the television season for the first time ever based on the C3 projections, beating NBC’s “Today” (4.351 million, 1.702 million and 1.306 million) by 715,000 Total Viewers, by 123,000 Adults 25-54 and by 18,000 Adults 18-49.  Commercial Data + 3 Days of Playback are the television industry’s currency used to broker sales to advertisers.

Delivering increases over the previous season in both Total Viewers (+9%), Adults 25-54 (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+1%) for the 3rd straight year, “Good Morning America” turned in its strongest season performance ever with its C3 projections in all three Nielsen measures – 4.669 million, 1.744 million and 1.314 million, respectively, for the 2011-12 season.
