NOTE: Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC & CBS (NFL Football)  are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers.  In San Diego, the NFL Network's coverage of the San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders game aired on the CBS affiliate, which means CBS numbers may be inflated.

NBC was number one among adults 18-49, but CBS won with total viewers.

On NBC  Sunday Night Football, which featured a match-up between the Texans and the 49ers earned a preliminary 5.7, down a full ratings point from last week's preliminary 6.7  adults 18-49 rating from 8:30-11PM.

On CBS, The start of prime was delayed by 44 minutes in the Eastern and Central timezones, making preliminary ratings essentially worthless. In San Diego, the NFL Network's coverage of the San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders game aired on the CBS affiliate, which means CBS numbers are subject to inflation as well. Check back tomorrow for the finals to get accurate, non-scrambled ratings for 60 Minutes, The Amazing Race , The Good Wife and The Mentalist.

On FOX, The Simpsons matched last week's 2.9 adults 18-49 rating. Bob’s Burgers garnered a 1.9, down three tenths from last week's 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. Family Guy notched a 2.5, down a tenth from last week's 2.6  adults 18-49 rating. American Dad was even with last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating.

On ABC, Once Upon A Time scored a 2.5, down a tenth from last week's 2.6 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were spot on!  Revenge garnered a 1.9, down four tenths from last week's 2.3 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were too optimistic. Betrayal notched a 1.1, down four tenths from last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Revenge is an excellent show and WILL be renewed! Unfortunately, they had to “dumb it down” this season because slow viewers couldn’t keep up with multiple plotlines. So to those who say it is SO much better this season, you probably don’t want to say anything….

  • Nicky

Nooo! Really sad for Revenge. Just now when the show is back on tracks after S2 fiasco.

  • revengesucks

i like the first season of revenge in the beginning. it deserves to be killed off already. the show has no balls. the ending of the 1st season was too predictable i had to stop watching. it could have been really cool but once i saw the 1st finale i knew it would never interest me again.

  • Adien

I stopped watching Revenge somewhere towards the end of the first season because i found that every single plot involved some secret camera that video something which was later used to blackmail someone
It became very repetitive and predictable towards the end. Oh there is a secret video camera hidden somewhere!

If Revenge keeps on falling there no way in hell ABC will renew it.Betrayal will last until ABC get’s a backup drama ready are they run those 20/20 specials.

  • Dorothy5334

Ok people… In no way is Revenge possibly in jeopardy… Yet… It would have to slip quite a bit more and stay there for that to be possible… Also.. I believe also it would really have to depend on there spring premieres as well…

There have been situations where a Season 3 series have been cancelled.

“EVE” was cancelled after 3 seasons & 66 episodes.

Though I’m sure that has to do with UPN closing up shop.

    AHHHHH – I love Betrayl. :(

Funny how none of the shows who stole Brothers and Sisters spot on Sunday at 10pm (Pan Am, 666 Park Avenue and Betrayal) can even match Brothers and Sisters’ Season 5 rating. Karma is a bitch. Bring B&S back for Season 6, it’s Season 5 rating looks like a total hit now at that timeslot.
