“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR’s” FINAL “15/15 BUCKING BATTLE” HAS BIG MONEY AND BIG POINTS ON SUNDAY
The final 15/15 BUCKING BATTLE of the 2013 PBR Built Ford Tough Series season and the last CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR broadcast of the year airs on Sunday, Oct. 13 (5:00-6:00 PM; 3:00-4:00 PM in late NFL markets; taped 10/12/13) from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. The Cooper Tires Invitational, the last regular-season stop of the series has an added round of competition when the PBR’s Top 15 bull riders meet the sport’s Top 15 bulls.  There’s a total round prize of $21,000, and double the points needed in the race to become the PBR World Champion. With four wins since the second half of the season, this round of competition is an opportunity for J.B. Mauney to collect much-needed points and draw even closer to No. 1 Silvano Alves in his quest to win his first PBR World Championship title.  It also represents a chance for Alves to pull further ahead of the elite group of athletes as he approaches an unprecedented third consecutive world title.  No. 4 Joao Ricardo-Vieira, the leader in the 2013 Rookie of the Year race, has a chance to win $120,000 as the bull rider to take on the Monster Energy Money Bull of the event, TK500 (Jeff Robinson/ Bar 3 D Bucking Bulls).  If Ricardo-Vieira makes the eight-second whistle, the $120,000 bonus is his.  TK500 was named for 2013 Indy 500 Champion Tony Kanaan, who will be in Hollywood for the bull’s ride that evening. Craig Hummer, Justin McBride, Leah Garcia, and JW Hart call the event for CBS Sports.  CBS Sports’ Bill Thayer serves as coordinating producer.

Harold Bryant is Executive Producer and Vice President, Production, CBS Sports.
