The Voice - Season 5

via press release:

Tuesday Results:

A recap edition of "The Voice" (2.9 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49, 10.0 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) is #1 for the two-hour time period in adults 18-49 and other key demographics and is the #1 show of the night in 18-49, pending updates.

The “Voice” recap finished within a tenth of a rating point of a comparable year-ago recap in 18-49 rating (2.9 vs. 3.0 from 8-9:01 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012) and is up 18% in total viewers (10.028 million vs. 8.481 million).

Chicago Fire” (2.2/6 in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 in the time period, and finished within 0.4 of a point of last week’s 2.6 despite this week’s lower lead-in from a recap episode of “The Voice.”

Chicago Fire” is up 22% versus the show’s year-ago third episode in 18-49 rating (1.8 on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012) and is up 18% in total viewers (7.577 million vs. 6.421 million).  “Chicago Fire” is also up 10% versus NBC’s year-ago rating in this time period (2.0 on Oct. 9, 2012 with “Parenthood”) and is up 53 percent in total viewers (7.577 million vs. 4.952 million).

Note that in “Live Plus Three Day” ratings last week, “Chicago Fire” added 36% or 0.96 of a point to its next-day “live plus same day” 18-49 rating (to a 3.60 in L+3 from a 2.64 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 32% or 2.821 million persons (11.564 million vs. 8.743 million).

NBC ranks #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49.

For the first time in eight years, NBC has won the opening three Tuesdays of the season among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49.

    Hmmm where’s Dante now?

  • DenverDean

    Once again, NBC misleads because the 10 pm slot includes that extra minute. It is not comparing apples-to-apples in any respect. The bottom line is that CF is not a hit. It is in a weak time slot with the best lead-in. C’mon a Scandal (R) and only a 2.2 in prelims? Guess NBC has to be glad ABC cancelled BoP because CF would be in the 1s (again).

    DenverDean must be another alias of Dante.

    @Kangarookeeper You’re probably right.
