Which New Fall Broadcast TV Show Will Be Canceled Fifth? (Poll)

RIP, We Are MenTasty, it was, but the Cancellation Bear always has room for more.

Which new broadcast primetime show will be the next caught by the cancellation bear and canceled third? With more than two weeks of data, you should all be on the mark now. Right?

Because comment thread lawyers are everywhere, let's be clear that for the purposes of this poll "canceled" means removed from its initially scheduled timeslot, either off the air entirely or rescheduled to a burn off timeslot, even if the network *claims* the show will return later.

What's your guess for this season's third to go?

While I've included all new shows in the poll (in randomized order) expected to premiere before Christmas that are not already renewed, full season ordered or canceled, the ones premiering late are obviously very highly unlikely to be canceled first, but the adventuresome are more than welcome to take a shot.

Like they say in Chicago, vote early, vote often.

It’s NBC’s turn to cancel something so my guess is Ironside or WTTF. I hope it’s Ironside and NBC is patient with WTTF and waits to see if Eva Longoria helps the show. Because outside of the “baby daddy” it’s actually a decent show

Dads, because FOX have a reset button coming up real soon with baseball. WTtF is the other likely pick.

WTTF in a desperate bid by NBC to improve their Thursday Night troubles (won’t really help though)

  • Mike K

I voted for Super Fun Night just because I want it canceled.

Welcome to the Family will be below a 1.0 when it airs tomorrow, it will be canceled before the weekend. I expect NBC to replace it with Community in November. They probably don’t want to put a new show there until midseason so they can have some time to restructure, cause if they put a new show there now, it’s almost certainly DOA.

I predict Dads will be canceled next.

Also in my most likeliest to be canceled list:

    – Betrayal
    – Hostages
    – Welcome to the Family
    – Ironside

I believe Dads will be the 3rd show canceled. The 1st episode was good but the last three were terrible.

i somehow think the cw renews all of its new shows, bc hod, batb, tcd and nikita won’t be on the schedule for next season (maybe hart of dixie for friday). then it would be 4 veteran (arrow, spn (final season), tvd (final season), maybe hod) Reign and the 100 are considered limited (Reign in Fall and the 100 in midseason), they can at least buy 4 new series (SPN spinoff, the flash, someday someday maybe, and amazon)

    Mondays:
    The Tomorrow People
    The Flash

    Tuesdays:
    The Originals
    Supernatural

    Wednesdays:
    Arrow
    Amazon

    Thursdays:
    The Vampire Diaries
    Reign / The 100

    Fridays:
    America’s Next Top Model/ Star-Crossed (november)
    Hart of Dixie

SPN spinoff and someday someday maybe for midseason

    Welcome to the Family

I had Dads pegged as second, now I’ll just put it third.

Why is The MJF Show on this list, isn’t it a 22 episode order? That being the case, NBC wouldn’t announce until the end of the season anyway would it?

  • Chris J

Dads probably won’t be cancelled because of the the Seth Mcfarland factor.

Welcome to the Family is a definite cancellation though.

Also I’m surprised the high and mighty CBS has left Hostages in its prime time spot. You would think they’d move it to Friday burn off by now??

“Why is The MJF Show on this list, isn’t it a 22 episode order? That being the case, NBC wouldn’t announce until the end of the season anyway would it?”

The two shows already canceled had 13 episode orders. That didn’t cause any hesitation when their ratings tanked.

If TMJFS had terrible ratings (it doesn’t) that 22 episode order wouldn’t save it.

    Thanks Bill.

I quite like MJF. It’s a nice show, and I’d like to see it survive.

I voted WTTF but would happily see Dads go next. If WTTF dips below 1.0 tonight it’s definitely time to feed the bear once again. I think Community will be back on Thur in time for Nov sweeps.

So many of these shows need to go. WTTF, Super Fun Night, Dads, Mom, Trophy Wife, etc etc. Who the heck greenlights this crap? There are some TV execs that the bear needs to eat to stop this stuff from ever airing.

    +1 :)

Another +1 from me. This could go a long way to keeping the Bear happy if we sacrificed commissioners.

Based on the criteria listed here, I picked Hostages not because I believe CBS will yank the show from the lineup but because they will move it either to Friday or Sunday nights and replace it with H50 or The Mentalist. But the next show yanked will be Welcome To The Family.
