BOUNCE TV TO PREMIERE TWO ORIGINAL SERIES ON OCT. 14
INCLUDING NET’S FIRST-EVER ORIGINAL SCRIPTED SITCOM

ATLANTA (Oct. 10, 2013) – Bounce TV, the nation’s first and only over-the-air broadcast television network designed for African Americans, on Monday, Oct. 14 will premiere its first original scripted sitcom My Crazy Roommate at 10:00 p.m. followed at 10:30 by the series debut of BRKDWN, an original new half-hour series featuring the hottest gossip, freshest beats & need-to-know-now pop culture news each week with an urban swagger.
My Crazy Roommate, created and produced by Bentley Kyle Evans (“Martin”, “The Jamie Foxx Show”) is a modern-day “Odd Couple” as Brooke (Laila Odom), a Brooklyn hipster and Chloe (Brittany Richards), a rich “valley girl” find themselves living together in one Los Angeles apartment.
BRKDWN is hosted by YouTube sensations, Cynthia LuCiette and Jon Scarlett. Alchemy Networks, the premiere digital network for urban lifestyle and entertainment, and BMP Digital, the digital division of leading production company Bunim/Murray Productions, producers of such hit reality shows as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Project Runway,” have teamed to produce the series.

Bounce TV targets African American adults with a programming mix of original series, theatrical motion pictures, live sports, documentaries, specials, game shows and inspirational faith-based programs.  The network airs twenty four hours a day, seven days a week on the digital signals of local television stations.

What the heck is bounce TV ? I’m in the Seattle market so perhaps it’s not available in my area. I’d definitely check it out if I could.

Bounce TV is like BET or TV One, but over the air.

It’s offered as a digital sub-channel by various networks. In NYC, it is MyNetworkTV’s sub-channel, in DC it’s a CBS sub. From my experience, they mainly play Wesley Snipes movies. Good that they are getting some original programming.

just saw a trailer and oh God, it looks terrible. the trailer actually says something like “2 Broke Girls – living together”. If a show as bad as 2BG gets ripped-off… My Crazy Roommate is going to suck big time.

I like Bounce. Yeah, they mostly play old to semi-recent movies featuring African-American actors, but probably their best original content thus far are their stand-up shows. This comedy sounds pretty sucky, but at least they’re trying.

    Keep going, Bounce!

    More on subchannels, please.

There have been a number of new subchannels created in the last 12 to 18 months and mostly we get crickets from TVByTheNumbers.

    Why?

Do a site search to see how rarely the word “subchannel” appears…

Is the site using some other keyword?

Tags like “TV Network Press Releases” yield like 90% of this site’s content – so they are useless.

Sites like Media Life Magazine are starting to seriously outclass you guys…

Gregg Wayans is going to be amazing in “My crazy roommate” on Bounce TV. I love this new network.
