In otrher news, NBC still sucks on Thursdays.

It’s totally depressing too considering it was Grey’s Anatomy’s 200th episode. Modern Family also went down for its 100th last night.

I watch Modern Family and the 100th episode was just a normal episode.

Was there anything special done for Grey’s Anatomy’s 200th? If not, then it’s not surprising that it would drop against the tribute episode of Glee.

On the plus side, it could always be worse. The 200th episode of CSI pulled a series low because CBS inexplicably aired it against the series finale of ER. ;)

People forget that TBBT didn’t hold it’s lead-in audience for a long time. It takes time for new shows to take hold. I’m not saying TM is necessarily that show or is any good. (The promos look AWFUL.) Anyone remember how GA and Scandal started following their respective lead-ins? It takes time. If CBS has faith in TM or TCOs creatively, they’ll hold on to them because they will believe that there is something there. If not, CBS won’t tolerate average ratings – “Rob”.

If things don’t get better, I suggest that CBS flip The Crazy Ones and Two and a Half Men or slide them 30 minutes earlier and put The Millers at 9:30 which seems a good fit with 2.5 Men which might get higher at 9pm. Lucky for them, they have football as a promotion platform.

    football aired on the cw

Cancellation Bear will be in need of some serious Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig by the end of this season.

NBC was in 7th place last night in primetime behind Univision and TBS. That’s embarrassing!

Time to cancel WTTF, move Sean Save the World to Friday, and air the Biggest Loser at 8pm before Parks and MJFS!

    @At least they’re not NBC

Uh??? You do realize that nbc will BEAT cbs this year even without counting winter games aren’t you??? I mean cbs will batle with abc for third spot.

  • Charmed

I would love to be a fly on the wall at NBC hq today

@Mark Wood – Thank you. Supernatural has been on every night of the week except Monday’s through their years. The fans are well aware the impact preemptions have on the shows. We’ve been on this roller coaster before and usually know what to expect. I’m not sure I understand the negativity being posted. Are we not supposed to be happy our show did well? TVD will bounce back. I have no doubt. I DO doubt it’ll bounce back to 1.3-1.5’s but never say never.

I’d wish Kevin Williamson would return as a writer on TVD. The quality was at its best when he was a writer.

@Deadline just reported that NBC last night tied the All-time Thursday Low and finished 7th in primetime

Ok eridapo? my friend (i guess nbc boss now is thinking)now is the time nbc to open tuesday comedy hour. I mean why not?

ps TBL 2 hours on thursday or is too late for the fall???

  • Mon

That CSI 200th episode was the worst CSI episode ever!!!

Do you know how this year is comparing to last year in terms of overall decline (percentage wise) by nets…

You have no idea what you are talking about. TBBT built on HIMYM every week during its first season when it aired at 8:30. In fact, CBS swapped TBBT and HIMYM during TBBT’s first season moving TBBT to the 8:00 anchor slot after only 8 shows. Go back and look.

  • Petar

@That CSI 200th episode was the worst CSI episode ever!!!

of course. You can not compare present age show with show(even same show) 10 years ago its so simple. People aged. Tv shows aged.

SPN fans are well aware of how preemptions impact ratings, remember it has aired more episodes on Thursday with Football then VD currently has, though that will change by the end of this season.

It’s that we have had a few ties, but no victory yet.
And yes we also know that it is very likely for SPN to drop in the future, after all we have seasons of data that shows events like that.

    Very well said!!

I lost interest in Glee in season 3, and the ratings have went downhill since then but those ratings are good considering everything.
The Crazy Ones I am beginning to worry a bit. If the show keeps dropping, I don’t think we will see season 2. But if it can keep above the 2.0 mark for the season I think it should be safe.
Parenthood I am now worried about. NBC have really killed one of its greatest shows. If this 1.2 can be its season low then a shortened season 6 might happen, but I really hope they end season 5 as if its the series finale just in case, I don’t want the series canceled on a cliffhanger.
OUATIW didn’t so so great. The drop next week will definitely show the future of the show. Hopefully ABC will at least air the entire of the series and let it finish its run.

But overall bad ratings all round, Glee being the exception and Greys (kind of) 200 episodes later and getting those numbers is still amazing.

Last night’s episode of Scandal wasn’t as great as the premiere but it was still good. Surprised TVD dropped

  • Kevin

10 million people couldn’t watch it!!

That 1.0 is great! NYC is a big market for The CW and for TVD.
