Falling Skies season 3

via press release:

Falling Skies invaded New York Comic Con today and new showrunner David Eick was on-hand to discuss his vision for the show’s fourth season.  For a look at what’s in store for Summer 2014, check out this new promo.

Great show!!!! I can’t wait for next season to start.

I tried to get into Falling Skies and I couldn’t but I’m happy for the fans who like the show. The special effects are good is must say. But I am going to give it another chance.

The problem is that the show is very stop-start, with long breaks between the development and action, with a lot of Soap Operatic filler. Exactly the same goes for the CG, due to the low budget it gets. Considering the trailer shows nothing developing from what happened in Season 3, I am not impressed. Then again, they pulled a Revolution-type nanite move, that really invalidates the premise that the ‘first’ aliens are even trying to win. If they did, then it would be over in a single day. Their techno-worms could kill everyone including the new aliens in about 15 seconds, but the writers are conveniently ignoring logic (just like they made the anti-mech bullets from season one disappear).

I watched season three due to Matt Frewer, and I will probably watch one, perhaps two episodes, but I am pretty sure that will be it unless they pull-off a major improvement.

Needs more fighting aliens and less dealing with family crap.
