Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I can’t believe that American Horror Story: Coven ends up as one of the highest rated shpws thos week. :-) :-)

Hopefully, that translates into an Emmy. :-P

  • FRED

REVENGE was awesome last night. Hope the #’s uplift from delayed viewing.
BETRAYL is sleep-inducing. Last night was by far the most boring episode of any TV show I have ever watched. I fell asleep about 35 min in. ABC needs to cancel this asap and air ANYTHING else.

  • Dan S

Not that I’m advocating it but I wonder how Scandal would do on Sundays ? Revenge has fallen hard & needs to get moved ASAP perhaps to Tues at 10 pm. Betrayal is done & ready to be fed to the bear. Both TGW & TM did worse than H50 & BB did on Fri. This likely could both be their last season.

  • Ashley

So sad OUAT is plummeting. Used to love season 1 and now it’s lost lost its good writing . Sunday really is awful now except for football.

  • Nope

shows airing on Sunday should get a handicap, just like Friday shows
    save THE MENTALIST

  • SG

Too bad because Revenge was so good last night, it’s totally rebounded from a strange season 2. Still beats The Good Wife at 9 to all the haters.

  • Bee

yikes. talk about disaster all around.

oh ABC. you truly did destroy OUAT and revenge’s promise with last spring’s mess.

and what a damn shame that this season will prolly now be TGW’s last as they’re having such an excellent season so far. i really hope the writers wrap up the story.

  • Percysowner

it’s so sad that no one is watching The Good Wife, which is easily the best show currently airing on network television… shame on you people!!

But, but I’ve TRIED watching The Good Wife and I just don’t like it that much. The cases are interesting, but I don’t like Alicia, which kind of affects how I feel about the whole show. Yes, maybe my taste sucks, but shame on me is a bit much.

  • queeneeuq

The Good Wife and The Mentalist are gonna get final seasons next year. Sunday is sooooooo Dead (pun). That CBS would rather not risk a new show that’s definitely going to fail. :-)

  • Steve

I’m kind of shocked that Revenge didn’t drop more being up against TWD.

  • FRED

My wife likes Betrayal and hopes ABC will air all the eps. I doubt that will happen. Best case scenario for fans is ABC will air the remaining eps in summer like they did 666, which by the way was a much better show.

  • psychic

At this point I would give my left arm for a 13-episode final season of The Mentalist.

  • Alec

    Anyone know the half hours?

  • dylan

Can someone give me the half hours for Revenge please??

  • George

Good Wife has maintained its quality over the years so I blame the deadly time slot and all the football delays hurting a heavily serialized show. Now that the Monday 9-10pm block has turned into a female-centric hour and Hostages is failing, CBS really should move Good Wife to Mondays at 10pm to stabilize it (and it should run a recap episode before airing new shows). You could then have a solid Girls-Mom-Wife block from 9-11pm!

  • RDavid

This is an example of why baseball should try to conclude its season before football starts.

  • queeneeuq

The Neighbors is looking better and better each week. And to think it doesn’t get any promotion?

  • a p garcia

I think commentary by Bob Costas is derogatory as a Native American.

  • Sierra

I always assumed having the late start to Sunday night CBS because of football was a reason that the shows were low, but I guess I had it wrong! The shows are even lower without the late starts!
