Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

do you think that the ad rates for once upon a time and revenge had changed

  • Bee

also, ABC, cancel betrayal and put repeats of nashville there for now.

  • Kim

I’ll be awaiting the news of Betrayal’s cancellation. Maybe they’ll move wonderland to Sundays…

  • Joseph A

Not really worried about the numbers last night with ABC & CBS ,

CBS lost its NFL lead in that it had last week, and both ABC & CBS were dealing with Playoff Baseball, NFL Football, and The Walking Dead

    That said ,
The Good Wife had Christian Borle (SMASH) in a guest spot who will hopefully not come back. Christian is a one dimensional actor that was annoying when ever he opened his mouth.

  • Brian

Revenge was already losing steam late last season, and it should have been cancelled then..it will be this season….after all they cancelled all other shows with the same ratings demo, and those shows had more viewers in Millions!
As far as CBS i thought they were more than fare about shows they renewed, but it looks like their Long winning streak is finally Over!

  • Stephan

REVENGE is amazing this season. I mean that Victoria and Emily Scene in last nights episode alone, has made it worth tuning in again. And that end was so good!

  • thesnowleopard

I can’t say I’ll miss The Mentalist after all the Red John nonsense. But I’m glad I caught the wedding at the end of last night’s episode. I still actually cared about that storyline.

  • Lucy

Revenge was amazing last night. Loved the ending! So twisted.

  • Mark Wilkins

if this isn’t the last season of TGW, then its in trouble. And Walking Dead ratings only have a small affect Revenge or TGW, not enough to cause these lows.

  • Dinar

ABC needs to do something about Revenge and that time slot. Last night was an AMAZING episode. Especially the Victoria and Emily scene at the party!

  • thesnowleopard

    @Brian
Very unlikely unless it drops a lot more. It’s currently in its third season and will probably get a fourth just for syndication purposes. Same for Once Upon a Time.

The Good Wife and The Mentalist, however, are probably goners come spring.

  • Matthew

This sucks… Revenge needs to be moved ASAP.. I don’t get why people are not watching… Show is back to season 1 goodness… I’m addicted…. Haven’t seen yesterday’s OUAT yet but it’s also better than last season and I loved last season… Season 1 dragged for me and I wasn’t into it as much

  • Why Watch

We now watch Revenge just to laugh at how ridiculous it gets. We believe a fitting ending, sooner than later, would be for a superstorm to hit and wash all the characters out to sea. We don’t care for any of them anymore. It lost all the potential it had in season 1.

  • Nik

I don’t understand why folks are blaming ABC for both Revenge and OUAT going off the rails. They don’t write the show, they don’t run the show. And, at least, they have taken steps to try and correct it by being more involved in Revenge (firing the showrunner and whatnot). Blame the showrunners/writers for the mess those shows devolved into during their second seasons.

  • Shepherd

    @Steve

I’m kind of shocked that Revenge didn’t drop more being up against TWD.

Last season Revenge got a 2.6 the week before TWD premiered, and it got a 2.6 the week it went up against TWD premier. Revenge has never really been affected by TWD. The drop for Revenge is all on the show and its fans.

  • diana

Well considering revenge got a 1.9 last week and went up against the walking dead I expected worse so I’m pretty sure will go up next week

  • Jacob T

I thing REVENGE was great last night. The best episode of Season 3 so far. I mean that ending was so unexpected. Loved it. I hope more people tune in next week.

  • queeneeuq

After a spectacular 2011-12 season, it’s all been downhill for ABC. It had 7 1/2 renewals that year; the following year it had 2. This year who knows? S.H.I.E.L.D. is shaky at best while Super Fun Night has yet to settle anywhere. And don’t even get started with the comedies.

  • jupiter3765

the good wife is a goner and definitly the mentalst

  • steven
