I was glad to see the crazy Reverend from Hell on Wheels in the Blacklist. He is always cast as a psycho and plays the part great.

I am falling in love with The Blacklist. James Spader is my new boyfriend.

BaTB, well, I’m still hanging with you but it’s getting harder every week. I dislike needy, lovelorn Cat. Vince is messed up in the head, time to cut the cord. Your tunnel vision of your “love” for Vince is reminiscent of staying in an abusive relationship. Move on!

  • Keith

Nice to see that “Mom” improved…

Castle has been standing on its own since its second season. It helped having a stronger DWTS in its heyday, but it had a core audience established by then. Its never been a powerhouse, but always been a steady solid performer in the 10pm slot for ABC. Only these last two seasons with DWTS being so low in the demo does it finally make it obvious.

How is it that HOD is doing ok with 0.4 while TBatB is doing terribly with 0.3?

  • Chloe

because it is in its second season and should do better, I loved this show in its first season, but every time I’m giving her, it’s a shame but be realistic

  • Feedback

I think it’s hilarious that TBBT repeat did better than 7 different shows. CBS should put TBBT on reruns on three different nights. People will watch it.

“I think you’re drastically overestimating the impact of being preempted occasionally one or two markets at a time. The effect is well below a tenth of a ratings point and it’s not like Beauty and the Beast is even close to being a bubble show anyways.”

This is where Nielsen ratings fail. BatB was very stable during the Spring time last year, where ratings for almost all shows tend to drop off due to the DST effect. However, Nielsen and those who believe in the lead-in effect want others to believe the implication that a consistent performer like BatB had higher ratings last year due to its lead in being TVD, than the impact of a preemption due to a schedule placement against one of the most popular television programs – MNF – along with, albeit temporary, major league baseball, having a negative impact on its lower ratings.

    @ Someone

“BatB was very stable during the Spring time last year”

I guess you could put it that way. During it’s last four episodes, BATB’s ratings dropped to a 0.5 and viewership plummeted into the 125 MM range. Moreover, even before then, BATB was never a consistent performer. Overall, BATB finished last season with more 0.5 ratings than the Secret Circle received in the same slot the previous season. In short, by the end of last season, it became evident that BATB wasn’t going to attract new viewers. That’s why it’s serving as schedule fodder on Monday evenings.

I am so proud of CASTLE, I could bust! And to think that the Canadian viewers and the folks living close to it’s boarders already viewed the episode on Sunday night(‘s), and still the ratings were as high as it was is nothing short of amazing. It couldn’t happen to a better program on TV. I like Blacklist just like most folks, but on my Monday nights, I prefer to watch CASTLE, and leave ‘Blacklist’ to ONDemand for my viewing! WAY TO GO CASTLE!!

  • Rebecca

Enjoyed Castle, as usual…glad they’re all back in NYC. Got to see it “live” that night since my visiting mom watches it regularly, too. Skipped her DWTS so we could watch HIMYM and Mom…I even tolerated 2BG and enjoyed parts of it (normally I don’t watch it, but the coffee making comedy was fun). I missed Sleepy Hollow because we watched the CBS stuff on “chase play” mode with the DVR…but I’m almost done streaming the episode on hulu – love that show.

  • Rebecca

Oh, I know why we ran late with our CBS viewing – Mom saw TBBT was going to be on, and we knew it would be a rerun but watched it anyway, all before Castle came on.

  • Duke

I don’t understand y the blacklist keeps dropping its so good

  • Scott

Wow that really good for Castle to see the fans like myself where right once the whole fed arc was over I knew the ratings would go up

  • Paul

I cant believe Blacklist gets any ratings please stop watching this awful show. I watched the first one and thought wow this show will not last. Its unbelievable the producer have no idea its so unrealistic! Its comical problem is its not a comedy!!!
