    SNF 18-49 even beat walking dead.

  • Ahsan

    POI skews really really old

  • brenna

    Age range 24-54 for POI is not really really old. It’s an intelligent and great show to watch.

  • Zalina

    NCIS – 11 seasons – #1 show in total viewers — best show ever…

  • romo

    Total viewers is meaningless.

  • leia

    If 60 is the new 40 then I think they should revisit the demo. I’d love to be associated with a show that pulls in a large chunk of viewers 50-65. We still shop a lot . We’re just not suckers. Oh and for all you old haters, I hope your parents and grand parents find out how you really feel. I can see them spending your inheritance. Go NCIS!

  • AllOfHerTw!st

    The Millers show is a sneaky beast! It *may* have somkething to do with the lead-in.

  • Zalina

    Total viewers is meaningless??? Are you sure??? 20 milion watched the NCIS show…. do you ROMO think tha´s meaningless??? In 11 season??? #1… I dont think so…

  • romo

    SNF was #1 total viewers last year:

    1 NBC SNF 21,443,000
    2 CBS NCIS 21,344,000

  • Zalina

    NBC SNF is not a regular series… its sport… NCIS was #1 series total viewes… and look the diference… so close… 21 443 to 21344…

  • romo

    Its a series its on the list.

    Isnt there a saying close only counts in horseshoes.

    SNF wins NCIS loses.

  • Ahsan

    @brenna and others

    I’m not hating on POI. I love the show, it’s really one of the very few intelligent shows on TV. What I meant was that I’d like it to stay on air as long as possible and it skewing old isn’t going to help. (With it’s dropping ratings and all) :/

    @Zalina
    NCIS – 11 seasons – #1 show in total viewers

    There’s virtually no chance that NCIS will be #1 this season. It’s barely beating The Big Bang Theory in Live+SD numbers and TBBT does much better in Live+7 (which is what will be used for the season averages).

    It’s possible that The Big Bang Theory will have more viewers than Sunday Night Football, given the relatively weak start to SNF this year.

    I do want to point out that I think it’s silly that SNF can be the #1 show while rarely being the most watched Sunday football program…

  • Ultima

    @Zalina
    Total viewers is meaningless?

    Total viewers are meaningless for a show’s renewal prospects.

    However, when it comes to bragging rights, total viewers are fair game! ;)

    It has nothing to do with buying power. It’s simple supply and demand. It’s hard to reach people in the Adults 18-49 demo, so they are worth more. It’s even harder to reach people in the Adults 18-34 demo, so they worth even more.

    @AllOfHerTwist

    Hey retentionista, cut “The Millers” some slack. It airs opposite “Thursday Night Football” while “The Big Bang Theory” airs opposite “Thursday Night Pregame”. Its competition is a little steeper.

  • Kate

    Yep I was about to say that, ‘TBBT’ between total viewers live and the 7 Day DVR total has a higher total average. ‘NCIS’ only gets a 3 million boost from the DVR number, while ‘TBBT’ gets anywhere from a 4 to 5 million boost, plus it kills in the all important Demo number, mid 5’s where ‘NCIS’ last week was mid 2’s. Yes older viewers are important my 70 year old mom watches ‘NCIS’ she’s about to switch over to watching it on the DVR, because as a loyal fan since JAG, she feels that the writing stinks this year. And it has nothing to do with Cote’s exit, she feels that all of the characters are replaceable with the exception of Mark Harmon.

    I stopped watching ‘NCIS’ after Season 5, could not stand on how Brennan destroyed Ziva’s character making her into a Super Barbie Wonder Action Figure. Then we had Tony as the bullpen version of Jerry Lewis, and not funny. Then don’t get me started with the over sized goth toddler that resides down in the forensic’s lab. They use to be fun quirky characters under Bellisario’s tenure. Yes it’s the #1 Drama at the moment, not #1 Show, and by the way in the grand scheme of things, more people watch football, once the playoff teams are set in November and Manning, Brady, and Romo are on TV every Sunday night, the ratings will hold steady at 25 million live viewers, which by the way, when did ‘NCIS’ ever, ever get, and I repeat ever get, over 24 or 25 million live, not DVR ratings, live, live, it’s entire history. Never ever, ever ever has this so called greatest show ever has ever gotten 25 million viewers live. Now ‘CSI’ during the Peterson seasons, got 25, 26, and hell it even got 30 million liver, I repeat live viewers not the DVR rating which did not count back in the mid 2000’s, if it did then ‘CSI’s totals would have surpased 30 million to 33 million viewers each and every week, even the Quentin Tarantino directed ‘CSI’ episode got well over 35 million live viewers.

    So sick and tired of the greatest show ever for ‘NCIS’, it’s the best show at the moment because frankly everything else on Regular TV stinks and it’s the reason why Cable TV shows are kicking butt with the Emmy trophies the past few years. Until I see a 25 million live, I repeat live rating, week after week for the entire run of this season, then I will say ‘NCIS’ is the greatest show ever. I don’t see that happening, past 2 weeks its been getting 18 million viewers, this time 2 or 3 seasons ago, it was getting 20 million viewers in October.

    WOW, how the mighty has fallen…Two and a Half Men has gone from #1 with Charlie Sheen to #24 with Ashton Kurcher…And was anyone surprised? I sure wasn’t…I was just surprised it took so many so long to figure it out…

  • aok

    Of course I’m glad to see Blacklist doing well. It’s one of two new shows I decided to invest in.

  • Joe

    This might mean something if they used something other then the unreliable Nielsen Ratings.
