Adults 18-34: Rating/Share 3.0/9 1.7/5 1.6/5 1.5/5 1.1/3 0.4/1

Last night’s Monday Night Football game (Colts/Chargers) was simulcast on the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis. As a result, NBC numbers may be inflated  and subject to more than typical adjustments in the finals.

NBC was number one in Adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On NBC, The Voice earned a 4.5 down 2 percent from last week's 4.6 adults 18-49 rating. The Blacklist  garnered a 3.2 up 3 percent from last week’s 3.1 adults 18-49 rating.  NBC’s line up was pre-empted in Indianapolis for football, so these numbers may be inflated.

On CBS, How I Met Your Mother matched last week's 3.0 adults 18-49 rating. The timeslot premiere of 2 Broke Girls notched a 2.5 up 9 percent from last week's series low 2.3 adults 18-49 rating. Mom garnered a 1.9 down 10 percent from last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were accurate for 2 Broke Girls but too optimistic for Mom. Hostages matched last week's series low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, Bones scored a 2.0 down 5 percent  from last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Sleepy Hollow garnered a 2.6 down 7 percent from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating.

On ABC,  Dancing with the Stars earned a 2.1, 5 percent from last week's 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. Castle notched  a 2.2 up 16 percent from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On the CW, the season premiere of Hart Of Dixie matched last week’s 0.4. Beauty And The Beast scored a 0.3, even with last week’s adults 18-49 rating.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    I hear TV By The Numbers is having a clearance sale on Castle trolls this season? Just nobody has been buying them at all anymore. I think they should have a DWTS show of just the Castle cast. The 3 hour Castle block.

    Honestly I haven’t seen much castle hating this season and I’ve been here every day for a few wks this year..

    @Jen

    OK, name ONE scripted, non-animated show on FOX doing better (right now, currently on schedule) then Sleepy Hollow. I’m waiting…

    I knew Jen wouldn’t be able to answer it… I tried watching the show and couldn’t really get into it but when trolls start trolling the boards and making ridiculous comments it really perturbs me??? I really need to start writing all these things down with names and times of who says these things so I can rub it in their face when their wrong about things.

    They’re probably Alcatraz or Terra Nova fans. Which I was. It could also be just people who like to hate. I used to like to come to this sight a lot. You could read intelligent comments about tv ratings. Now some people do contribute intelligently. While others are prophets who make no intelligent comments to back up there predictions and think they know more than tv executives who have been in the business for years. It’s like a grade school playground sandbox sometimes with name calling and outrages comments.

    I agree with you all.. I’m constantly wondering the same thing.. I know tvbythenumbers doesn’t want to have to start blocking people and I truly understand that.. I just wish there was an ignore button that people can hit it whenever the trolls and haters come on..

    @Dorothy-Yes the Castle bashing is WAY down this season. Hence the sale. Last season it began to drop as H5O dropped hard, thus moved to Friday ending that competition and Hostages is a bust right out the gate. The Voice is helping The Blacklist (decent show), like Castle got in its first season from DWTS in its hey day. Still to early to tell if The Blacklist will come into its own like Castle did in its second season. Helps the last two seasons that Castle has been beating its lead-in in the demo.
