    When POI goes under 2 and possibly 1.5 in the spring it will be moved or cancelled. It was always about this incredibly poor start of low 2 demos collapsing in the spring leading to POI being cancelled.

    You know your show has finally hit the big time when it gets its own Troll on TVBTN. ;-)

    Again, I think AOS is a poor lead in for ABC’s new family comedies. SHIELD should be a 9:00 show. I don’t know if swapping timeslots would help any of ABC’s Tuesday night shows, but it couldn’t hurt.

    It would be a shame if the Goldbergs were a victim of bad scheduling — although, I guess, the abrasiveness of the characters may turn some people off, but the characters are more three-dimensional than they appear at first glance. I think Trophy Wife is decent as well — and would probably benefit by being followed by (anything) a good show. I really can’t see ABC coming up with better comedies than these two.

    While I love PLL and I am sure the ratings will beat Originals, I think the first episodes of the Originals have been far more entertaining than PLL has been in a while. Actually, I have been far more impressed with The Originals than I thought I would be. I would even suggest to people who don’t watch TVD to give it a shot, because it’s quite interesting and has nothing to do with TVD.

    “The 18-34 ratings are posted on the prelims every day on TVBTN”

    Just the network primetime averages. Not show by show.

    @Bill Gorman

    Are you able to post these show-by-show, or perhaps point us in the direction of where these might be available? Thanks for running a great site btw, I am kind of a ‘lurker’, but visit every day!

    But damn the originals Supernatural have a few spectators, I know that the rating is important, but very few are 2:33. happy with them!

  • Ember

    Can’t we all be happy with our shows?? And leave the others alone?? That being said, I hope every show does well, but I do think the CW needs the live ratings more… and it’s just started pulling up good numbers..

    Agents of SHEILD – 18-49 Demographic Ratings so Far:

    1×01: ”Pilot” – 4.7

    1×04: ”Eye Spy” – 2.8

    Those AOS ratings are pretty decent. People keep commenting how much they’ve dropped from the premiere. While the curve down is obviously steep, the premiere had a huge built-in curiosity factor from the movie and was an “event” in and of itself. Some people I know who are Whedon fans expressly tuned in live to the premiere, but have now settled into a comfortable DVR groove.

    Potato
    CW shows– about 5 percent of the tv ratings, about 90 percent of the comments on this site

    No kidding!

  • ToXiX

    Dads, B99, & New Girl are ALL so close together in numbers of viewers.
    The Mindy Project is the obvious weak link of the night.

    @ginger

    Not quite following the logic of Arrow doing better because it premiered with SPN and the same with the Originals. Arrow is actually doing better this year than last year, or so it seems. The Originals has a built in fan base as it is a spin off from TVD, so don’t really think SPN can take credit for that. SPN may be doing better this year but the CW show that really could take credit with rising the ratings was and always will be Smallville.

    Couldn’t agree more with the Comment

    It’s not worth the effort for us to do it, and I’m not sure who else may have them, but some commenters may know.

    Did any of the stuffshirts at CBS ever stop to think that their stupid and endless football games will cause people to stay up at least another half hour or more on Sunday night when most people have to go to work. Put their dumb shows like MOM and a few others on Sunday night instead of the good wife and the mentalist. They cancelled a perfectly done Vegas and put in a lot of crap this season.

    Can someone explain to me how ratings are adjusted up and down? I don’t understand the calculation or the process. TY
