  • In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.9/5 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.
  • From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
  • From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/5 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's original "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for  live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I never know which is worse, the “troll” or the things the “troll” is reacting against. Two or three years ago a bad over-praised show got under my skin – it was representative of a trend in sitcoms I still find a cul-de-sac – and I made some negative posts, pointing out the ratings really, and you would have thought I’d called Nick Saban a cross-dresser with a megaphone in downtown Tuscaloosa the night before the Alabama-Auburn game. TV is what it is. You gain nothing attacking dreck when it’s dreck people are willing to throw Molotov cocktails at somebody to defend. A bad review is a time-honored tool in the hands of the noble cultural warrior. Drooling over every miniscule ratings drop of an already moribund patient is seen by most as overkill.

bigbrotherfan you do realize it was 2nd only to the voice in the vaunted key demo and destroyed it in most viewers so more than us old viewers watch it Im 53 by the way and plan on being here for a long time, the good lord willing

ABC’s Tuesday schedule seems like it could benefit from moving the comedies to 8:00 and MAOS to 9:00. I’m a superhero geek, but find SHIELD a bit of a drag. I hope ABC gives the Goldberg’s time to find an audience. It’s my new favorite comedy. Modern Family has gotten a bit stale, IMHO.

  • CBSviewer

    @ BigBrotherFan

Nobody cares about this OLD TIRED DRAGGING show

Except 18.43 million people ;) SHIELD is not able to get 8 million viewers while NCIS is still the most watched Show on TV.

  • TVDude

ABC seems to be having almost as hard of a time launching a stable comedy show as NBC does. My guess is that they will give up on the Tuesdays shows if they ultimately don’t see some sort of rise soon.

  • Dorothy5334

Hey Dante… Why not use your forum name from last year, I believe most everyone around here suspects that you really are “Max” by your actions: first to post with pre-written forum post, Hatred for one particular show, and after posting once you leave the forum for the whole day….

We wont hold you to your vowed never to return to the forum, So just call yourself Max.

Yes, he is Max.. He talks exactly the same..

  • avstylez

brooklyn-99 is the best new comedy right now but the ratings are crappy..i guess many viewers have not given this great show a chance or it might be in a tough Tuesday night timeslot..!!

  • Parker Wyeth

@TV VIEWER Agreed. Mark Harmon earns his money ($15 mil & tying w/ Neil Patrick Harris for 4th highest paid). But, are Kutcher#1@($24 mil) & Jon Cryer#2@ ($21 mil) worth a combined $ 45 million for 2/12 men ?

parker Wyeth does that 15 million include harmons producing and other things he has done for the show?

  • Pepper

Solid for CBS and the CW, disappointing for Fox and ABC. SHIELD is probably safe but not the ultra mega hit that they hoped.

  • Igwell

If NBC could throw Biggest Loser on Thursdays from 8-9 and get that number,…

But it can’t. In its current slot, TBL will fall half a point during the season like it always does. It would get steamrolled on Thursdays at 8pm, down to low 1s, and effectively destroy the series.

  • Carl

It’s like clockwork that people say SPN is nothing past season 5. I didn’t even like season 5. I didn’t like most of season 3. I’ve genuinely enjoyed some parts of the last few seasons. I’m glad the show didn’t end with season 5.

  • anti-bondoel

Jon aka the Nikitard master BONDOEL is just jealous and crying sour grapes because Supernatural is infinitely more popular and successful than his precious Nikita! :D

  • BigBrotherFan

    See this confuses me

AOF is like the 3rd highest rated ABC show and it’s on TUESDAY at 8pm (an iffy slot of ABC) it’s doing a heck of a lot better than most of what has been there, yet people seem to dog on it. Calm it down. The show is doing pretty fantastic in the ratings. They need to ditch the two British scientist (boy do the suck) I dunno maybe hire a Kate Upton look alike? Also, Skye needs to be in less clothing! The rest of the cast is fine.

  • Jon

Nice to know we agree on Supernatural :-)
The others like criminal is because its so obvious its been on way to long with all the cast changes. Then the BAU cases are really out there now where are the good old serial killer episodes like “plain sight”, “the fox” ,”unfinished business”, “Jones” ect.. They really have lost their game. Castle clearly went down when they became a couple then the whole thing with Castle’s dad being a spy, just ridiculous imo and i have seen many others has had the same opinion on these matters.

  • BigBrotherFan

    Parker Wyeth

Mark Harmon is old and irrelevant and FAR from an A-LISTER LOL

Stuff like this makes me laugh or how about last year on that RULES OF LIVING WITH YOUR PARENTS show when everyone thought it was canceled because Elizabeth Perkins must have a “high” salary! HAHA! That was rich. That hag should be so lucky to be on TV just like the cast of NCIS

  • queeneeuq

Even with a better lead-in, The Goldbergs is performing worse than The Neighbors did last year. This is why I keep on insisting that The Neighbors is not yet going to be cancelled.

ABC committed 22 episodes for a The Neighbors. For Back in the Game and The Goldbergs, none. With Tuesday bleeding out, Friday is looking better and better. It is only a matter when that day beats Tuesday in ratings.

  • Jay

@Dorothy. When the finales are disclosed, Dante/Max with his “pre-written” diatribe against CF will say I told you so when CF is adjusted down knowing full well that shows are always adjusted down after The Voice, always. He will say Chicago Cool or Chicago Flop. He will say no chance for renewal. He will knock the cast. Of course, he will ignore the facts. Popular show, the network’s second highest rated drama a present, wins the timeslot for four weeks in a row against a high quality CBS show, etc. Oh, if he gets the chance, he will rip into on of CF’s main stars. Maybe a Little Monster jealous of Lady Gaga’s boyfriend.

It really is sad. Yes, I wonder how he is always the first to post with, oddly, unreleased numbers. I will believe this site has too much integrity to allow anything untoward to take place. Unless proven otherwise.

bigbrotherfn so the lead actor on tvs most popular show and now the ex producer of another show is not an a lister and a show that can even get 8 million viewers is a hit ok lol

  • BigBrotherFan

LOL why is everyone hating on CF? That show is doing good! NBC will have MUCH MUCH MUCH bigger problems with Thursday and DRACULA no doubt
