Editor's Note: Television viewing on platforms such as DVR, video-on-demand and online streaming continues to grow at a fast pace.  Last season during premiere week, Live+7 CBS audiences grew 20% over Live+SD in total viewers, up from 17%  in 2012.  In A18-49, Live+7 levels grew 29% from Live+SD, up from 23% one year ago.  Additionally, many CBS shows experienced as much as a 50% increase in total viewers once full 30-day multi-platform audiences were accounted for.  In an effort to quantify how much non-linear viewing adds to Live+SD audiences, CBS Research will provide estimates for series which will include DVR playback as well as multi-platform viewership.

“Criminal Minds” was thoroughly enjoyable last night. Season 9 is looking to be a good one. Hope they keep it up.
Ratings are looking nice as well.

“CSI,” despite its age, never seems to get old for me. It’s a really good show, glad to see it’s holding up in its timeslot.

Also, for “Criminal Minds,” thought I’d say that I like the new section chief. Kind of worried that they were going to replace Strauss with someone despicable, but this guy seems good and hopefully meshes well with the show.

Criminal Minds is definitely showing its age but the show is still hanging in there and doing well for the network.

Personally, I’m just waiting for the 200th episode when Paget comes back.

Curious to see if CSI will get any ratings spike with the 300th episode next week and Marg Helgenberger returning for the episode.

I’m just glad that MESSer and her bunch seemed to finally gotten it into their heads that it is the team we are interested in and not their stupid over the top unsubs.

And while I thoroughly enjoy personal moments as well as back stories for the team, especially Reid since he is my favorite, I first and foremost want to see them in their capacity as FBI profilers and their interactions with each other.

Of course I might be speaking too hastily. After all the season is still young. So there’s still plenty of time for MESSer and her ilk to revert back to their same old tiresome ways, that in my opinion helped to drive down both CM’s demo and it’s over all viewership.
