If NBC wants to save Revolution, they need to move it into a new time slot, possibly Wed. 10PM. Maybe in Dec. But NBC needs to get people to catch up…not by hoping they will watch online or on SyFy. They should have a daily marathon to get people into it. NBC did this with Quantum Leap (by stripping at 10PM), and it helped the show to survive for a couple of more years.

CW is close to beating NBC at 8!!! Im happy

I am not surprised for Nashville. Last year, Nashville was like a soap. This year it is like a very boring soap. I don’t mean that I don’t watch soaps, but even I can’t take it anymore..

Oh, you put up the article? No worries. It’s just I’m an editor, so that stuff jumps out at me.

What is with Arrow fans obsession about beating TVD? It’s not even in the same genre.
I haven’t seen much of that it was mostly supernatural vs arrow ratings or supernatural vs. vampire diaries ratings..

But they are all gonna get renewed and shouldn’t all be compared to eachother.

  • Charmed

I’m in the minority, I think Nashville is better this season. The only storyline I don’t care for is Will’s, and Gunner and Avery don’t really have a purpose on the show anymore.

Anyone opting to stop watching the broadcast shows of ABC and just watch the streams because of the annoying text of THE NEXT SHOW COMING UP ,, in the bottom left hand side of their screen that feels like its there for more then 1/2 of the episode

  • Dan

Sucks that Nashville adjusted down but i still feel like it will be renewed. Hopefully it can go up next week and stay consistent the rest of the season.

If the CW becomes 3 for 3 and all of their new shows deserve and get full seasons. Then I could see the CW moving both hart of Dixie and beauty and the beast to Fridays give them two slots to work with whether one show from Tuesday-Thursday moves there (if one would move it would probably be supernatural) otherwise both of them could launch on Mondays.

I always see you post about the 100,000 earning bracket for shows. Where do get this information from??

ABC: Toy Story of TERROR was great. My family and I were watching and wished it was an hour long special. I kept thinking that ABC might benefit from having Toy Story as a weekly series. Maybe 13 episodes a season.

Back in the Game really did not benefit from the special. And for those saying The Goldbergs does worse, it does have the challenge of facing The Voice. But in my opinion, the cast has more chemistry than Back in the Game. I don’t particularly care for the English actress or the actor who plays Maggie’s enemy ” Dick Slingbaugh”. Super Fun Night is performing horribly. It is down by 2.0 in the demo and 5 million viewers from Modern Family. IMO, that is unacceptable in that timeslot.

Or NBC could just cut its losses, cancel Revolution, and come up with something else. Which is far more probable than throwing good money after bad on moving it to a 10pm death slot or giving it a marathon.

I heard that ABC is going to air Shark Tank repeats on Tuesday @10pm. They may have to consider just moving it there permanently.

These changes may need to occur:

    Tuesday
    8pm Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
    9pm Resurrection
    10pm Shark Tank

    Wednesday
    8pm The Middle
8:30pm The Goldbergs (This has the most promise out of all the new comedies)
    9pm Modern Family
    9:30pm Suburgatory

    Friday
    8pm Last Man Standing
    8:30pm Back in the Game
    9pm Super Fun Night
    9:30pm The Neighbors/Mixology

CBS: CSI had a very strong episode last night. I really enjoyed it. It definitely has some more life left in it. I hope to see an improvement for next week’s 300 episode with Marg returing. Even though the network is remaining consistent, I do feel they need to breathe new life into Wednesday next season. It would be foolish to keep CSI behind Criminal Minds once again. And Survivor can definitely be of more service to Sunday night. CBS should really consider more reality on that night.

NBC: The network has to get rid of Ironside and then really consider moving Revolution to 10pm for November Sweeps, to see if it would have better retention out of Law & Order:SVU, which seems a lock for a 16th season. I think viewers tuned in wanting to see Munch’s farewell episode. Dateline NBC should be put at 8pm simply for Sweeps.

CW: I really happy for Arrow. 1.1 and over 3 million viewers is great for the network and definitely helps lead off the night to create another hit in The Tomorrow People.

There are various websites providing more detailed ratings demo information parsing the data by gender and income, rendering the study of ratings even more interesting (at least to me). I’m not sure TVBTN is too keen having their readers promote those other websites that provide ratings analysis. Any search engine should return some good television ratings sources such as Variety, Media Life Magazine and TV Media Insights, to name a few. Many of these other sites cater mostly to the entertainment business community and advertisers. The most fun and accessible ratings website is of course, TV By The Numbers where the comments can be insightful, passionate and provocative…and a few that are something beyond description!

The Tomorrow People is a HORRIBLE SHOW. :-(*)

    @Networkman
Agree that Toy Story of Terror was amazing, just like the Pixar movie versions, only a lot shorter. There is good reason that ABC parent Disney would not turn their Pixar Toy Story franchise into a television series. Toy Story is arguably Pixar’s most beloved chapter of films. That half hour was very expensive and time consuming to create, much like the longer version films. Pixar is known for its perfection in film making and their spare no expense approach. Toy Story of Terror is intended to get lots of airplay for many Halloweens to come and probably land on ABC Family and Disney Channel, too.
