via press release:

CBS GIVES FULL SEASON ORDERS TO TELEVISION'S TOP THREE NEW COMEDIES — "THE CRAZY ONES," "THE MILLERS" AND "MOM"

CBS has given full season "back nine" orders to television's top three freshman comedies — THE CRAZY ONES, THE MILLERS and MOM.

"We’re proud of CBS’s leadership position in comedy and excited to build on it with the back nine pick-ups of these three new comedies," said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment. "These series are creatively distinct, continue to improve each week and are led by strong showrunners, writing and production staffs, and feature amazingly talented casts."

THE CRAZY ONES is the season's #1 new comedy in viewers (13.71m), adults 18-49 (3.6/10) and adults 25-54 (4.8/12).  THE CRAZY ONES wins its Thursday (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) time period in viewers.

THE MILLERS sweeps its Thursday (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) time period in viewers and key demographics and ranks as the #2 comedy in viewers (12.41m), adults 18-49 (3.2/09) and adults 25-54 (4.3/11).  Last night, THE MILLERS retained 97% of its premiere rating in adults 18-49, 98% in adults 25-54 and 93% of its premiere audience, the best of any new series in these measures.

MOM is the third-most-watched new comedy, averaging 7.98 million viewers, delivering a 2.6/06 in adults 18-49 and 3.2/07 in adults 25-54 airing in the highly competitive Monday (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) time period.

THE CRAZY ONES stars Robin Williams, Sarah Michelle Gellar, James Wolk, Hamish Linklater and Amanda Setton.  David E. Kelley, Bill D'Elia, Jason Winer, Tracy Poust, John Kinnally, Dean Lorey, John Montgomery and Mark Teitelbaum are executive producers for Twentieth Century Fox Television.  THE CRAZY ONES was created by David E. Kelley.

THE MILLERS stars Will Arnett, Beau Bridges, Margo Martindale, Jayma Mays, J.B. Smoove, Nelson Franklin and Eve Moon.  Greg Garcia is executive producer/creator for CBS Television Studios.

MOM stars Anna Faris, Allison Janney, Nate Corddry, Matt Jones, Sadie Calvano, Blake Garrett Rosenthal, Spencer Daniels and French Stewart.  Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky and Nick Bakay are executive producers for Chuck Lorre Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. MOM was created by Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky and Gemma Baker.

    Psyched for The Crazy Ones.

Still haven’t tried Mom but I love Allison Janney so I’ll give it a watch this Monday.

  • Joe

It must be the hypnotic laugh track that keeps folks from flipping the channel once The Millers comes on a minute past the half-hour. Well, all but five million of them…

  • Renz

Yes!!! Love all three of those comedies….. So happy!!!!

  • Tony JJ

I’ve been expecting this news, but I’m glad it’s finally announced. I’m enjoying all three of these comedies. and I don’t know why people think CBS will cancel Mom. Chuck Lorre! Hello? He will make sure CBS doesn’t get rid of it and let’s it grow and I have a feeling CBS knows it can grow and hopefully when Mike and Molly comes back on Mondays it will help the whole Monday block.

I think CBS should end TAAHM early this season and then premiere another show behind The Crazy Ones. But 1 comedy is almost guaranteed to be ending early (not necessarily cancelled) so either Friends with Better Lives or Bad Teacher can get tried out.

  • Renz

    Yes!!!!

  • Glue

Not surprised by Mom at all. Chuck Lorre comedies have done well and they’re not all instant hits and I think CBS think MOM is like TBBT and will gradually grow.

But yeah, I like Mom. It’s funny :)

The Millers has improved a little bit (no fart jokes at least), but I still don’t see it surviving the season if it gets moved away from BBT. The Crazy Ones is one of the best comedies that CBS have and a very solid cast + writing, so they should hold onto it. I think it should have gone behind BBT, but I guess CBS rely on the start power of Robin and Sarah. I’m shocked by Mom’s back order as it seems to be slipping, but I guess they plan this to be TAAHM’s last season and they need replacements. I’m curious where Bad Teacher will go, though. Friends with Batter Lives sounds dreadful so not surprised they’re not rushing to schedule it anywhere.

  • Jon

The millers is really the only new Cbs comedy worth watching

  • Craig Mitchell

I am loving MOM….and I enjoy THE CRAZY ONES….I don’t get THE MILLERS it’s God Awful!! Will Arnett just can’t catch a break. Greg Garcia hit gold with MY NAME IS EARL…but The Millers…is TERRIBLE…

  • Babar Suhail

Mom got a full season because it’s Chuck Lorre.

  • Michael1

If these 3 continue to thrive, would CBS put the new shows on Saturday Nights, or would they try them out in March, like they did with “Rob”?

  • DenverDean

With HIMYM and, likely, TAHM, CBS needs to see how they playout during an entire season – repeats, spring ratings dips, etc. I could see them running new episodes of TM after TBBT repeats and TCO before TAHM repeats to keep that night “fresh.” Additionally, with late start of M&M, Mom could run new episodes and delay repeats so that they could try one of the “benchwarmers” in Jan/Feb and then finish run at end of season.

  • E.S.

I don’t see “The Crazy Ones” getting more than two seasons. Either you love Robin Williams or hate him.

  • Craig Mitchell

The only reason THE MILLERS is doing so well is because it followed the highest rate sitcom on television. This week it held 65% of the key demo…that’s gonna drop….The Millers really needs to get funny FAST.

  • buttondiet

Anything behind TBBT will do well, The Millers is lucky. Nice to see CBS want to give Mom a chance to grow, I was worried they wouldn’t give it a full season. Even if that’s all it gets it’s better than nothing!

  • iSayso

    Yup, no problems with this.

  • anna g

No surprise these shows received full season but which one of the m will be renewed? I guess The Millers are most likely candidate and maybe The Crazy ones if they stop losing demo.

  • Ronald

I drop out The millers but i knew it would egt a fulls eason order, Now Mom im stick to it! lets see how it goes!

  • MARTY

    is mom cbs owned

  • Ccemerson
