GO GH!!!! Now what will the haters say with these ratings!!!! GH is NUMBER ONE!!! YAY!

  • Mike

So we know from this that GH rose from 718,000 last week in 18-49 to 735,000 this week. That is not a big rise for GH.

But it had to be a big fall for Y&R who was at 810,000 in 18-49 last week. They had to fall below 735,000 18-49 viewers. Plus they were at 1.3 18-49 number and had to fall to a 1.1 or 1.0.

I wonder if B&B fell that big too.

CBS cannot be happy with it.

In Feb 2011 when GH beat Y&R in 18-49 the last time was the Balkan storyline with Brenda. It was that win that kept GH from being cancelled when OLTL and AMC were. They were still doing great in 18-49 and when ABC wanted to cancel all 3 they decided against it due to GH’s 18-49 numbers.

Heather I didn’t say that .That Dee did. That was to her asking why she would even say that.Thought that was cruel to say something like that.I don’t down any soap fan no matter which one they watch. I am a GH fan…

  • moshane58

Mike ABC had plans to cancel GH. But The revolution failed miserably. Even Anthony Geary talked about GH was going to be cancelled for a Hollywood Boob Job gone Bad when he won his Daytime Emmy. Now ABC is working on a talker called Mo’Nique. If they make a deal for Katie to reduce her pay then were will this talker go? 80% of the ABC stations carry Katie. So who is gonna go? Drummer ahead of ABC daytime done announce she is working on Mo’nique for ABC.

  • Robert

    Two words. Robert Scorpio

  • Tina

Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) return deserves some credit too. But I hope Robert Scorpio ( Tristian Rogers) sticks around too.

    Way to go GH!

  • James

GH won’t get canceled anytime soon. It’s numbers are solid.

I’m happy for GH and like Y&R. I hope Y&R rebounds though. I actually like JFP running Y&R than I did when she ran GH (I watched her run from Nov 2009 to late 2011 when she was fired)

  • robert sprague

im a huge gh fan an happy it beat y and r but it cant last there going full force again with the mob it astory done over and over. its Robert anna and duke that’s why gh is up ‘ still no word on genie francis was she fired or what bottom line . more Robert heather luke tracy laura lucy kevin scott micheal holly and of coure bobbi and lucas now that Julian Jerome is back. and what happen to the rebuilding of the quartermaines wheres aj and monica.

  • June G

…No wonder Y&R is going down hill. What pathetic writing this past year or so….back to the ‘eighth grade’….WOW…! Don’t drag the
story lines on sooooo long…..makes for boring viewing.

  • lll

GH is doing great because of the way stories are written now. Everyone has a story and everyone stories are rotated throughout the week. That is what made the ratings climb. The mob story (which I like more now because of the Jeromes) is one of many stories, not the only story (the way Jill Farren Phelps likes it). Maybe it was because of Robin, but I don’t want to give her ALL the credit. Everyone pitched in and made the ratings climb. The rotating storylines is working.

As for Y&R I do feel for the fans because they have GH head writer leftovers in Jill. Hope they can get rid of her so the stories can go back to the way it was. New writers will do them some good.

  • cc

Happy to see GH climb. It’s an hour that goes by too quickly now.

As for JFP, she is a soap killer, there are several others too, that should never ever be allowed to touch a pen or a computer.

  • Jeff

Friday’s episode was magical! Once they stop forcing the Patrick/Sabrina relationship and reunite him with Robin, things will be even better. Great job GH!

  • mama`s cooking the chicken

GH HAS BEEN GREAT FOR MONTHS . THE STORIES ARE JAW-DROPPING . EXCELLENT WORK FROM WRITERS AND ACTORS. THE OLD GH IS BACK (80`S) AND THE RATINGS SHOW IT .

  • Fakeem

I was a long time viewer [since the mid 70’s] of Y&R, but last year seemed weird. Then I find out that JFP takes over around the same time that the storylines get boring and the new/young actors get forced upon us. I used to tape Y&R so I could watch after work, or watch live when I could, but JFP has ruined the show for me to the point where I don’t even bother to read recaps. She killed my favorite soap.

Hey, maybe that should be a storyline :-D

  • Brittany

I’m loving Gh so much right now! I can’t wait to watch it everyday! I hope they reunite Robin and Patrick soon!

  • William

The thing i don’t like about Y&R is 1 day can last 2 weeks!

  • ron

    dee your an idiot

  • ron
