    @Janice……we get it you don’t watch elementary, but why do you get a thrill by seeing a show fall. There are people who enjoy the show and I’m included. I get it that its not for everyone, its just too intelligent off a show for the masses. They’d rather watch duck dynasty or keeping up with the kardashians.

    @jon
    i don’t know what’s wrong with people these day’s i mean if their watching a show that they enjoy good for them but i still don’t the need to put down other show’s people enjoy

    Great for Vampire Diaries hitting almost 3 million viewers.

    Letting Stefan out of the casket in the lake brought in the viewers!!!

    Too bad for Reign it had an above average lead in and shed 1 Million viewers and half a demo point. I thought it would at least debut to a 1.1 demo. I figured if Beauty and the Beast could do over 1 in its premiere than Reign with its critical acclaim could match it, but either way if it maintains this demo it would stay safe but history shows that it won’t happen.

    All CW new Series have potential this year.

    Great for THE CW for getting #3 from 8-9 beating NBC comedies and ABC drama Wonderland.

    @Ron
    @the only delusional one is you. Elementary is fine

    I suggest laying off the drugs, you are clearly very high. Or were when you wrote this but Elementary is nothing but fine, and fan excuse bingo excuses won’t changes the fact the show is showing a downward trend in viewers and is hitting series lows.

    Apologies for hurting your feelings but this is a ratings website, while I expect a bit of crazy from some people upset that their show is failing, and well done to you for not using the word hater, though you would just be helping me fill another fan excuse bingo square ;)

    There is no evidence to suggest Person of Interest and Elementary shared an audience either.

    In the Midseason, ABC should :

    8 – Grey’s Anatomy
    9 – NEW DRAMA
    10 – Scandal

    In response to Kat:

    I didn´t say people watch Scandal for Bellamy Young, I said I DO! The fact that K.W. was nominate for an emmy doesn´t mean she´s a better actress, hell there have been such great actors and actresses who were never nominated, and does that mean they´re lesser good? No, it surely doesn´t! Like I said, I watch Scandal essentially for the conspiracies and plots. If you take out K.W. I´ll still watch, but if you take the rest of the cast and let K.W. I won´t. That´s what I mean when I say that K.W. alone isn´t the reason why people watch the show. Like I dsaid, IMO, she´s just a normal actress, not more.

    Damn at that 2.1 for 2 and a Half Men!!! I know it’s a very old show at this point but I didn’t think it’d collapse quite this hard or fast. I’ve never seen ratings that low for it during its entire run. It just keeps sliding further and further down. Not too much longer now and it will be failing to get above a 2. Yeah, I’d say this year is it for that show. It’s had a long 11 year run, this looks like a good spot to end it most likely. Well, at least if that happens ill get my wish on it not surpassing the length of Happy Days’ 11 Season run. I do enjoy Ashton Kutcher on the show but when it’s all said and done that show’s time has come. I just hope they can write up a somewhat respectable series finale for it.

    It’s pretty obvious it’s no longer a question of how much longer, I think that’s being answered. CBS will be fine after it finally ends. They’ll get at least a few more years out of Mike & Molly, The Millers is looking to be strong enough to get to a 2nd year, TBBT I mean good God with those numbers continuing and if the cast is willing to keep going-minimum 3 more years for that. It’ll probably have at least as long a run as TAHM. If any show does break Happy Days’ 11 year streak that’ll probably be the one. That show running longer than it wouldn’t upset me at all-I just don’t want TAHM to be the one to do it and thankfully it’s looking like it won’t be :p

    Elementary is fine and it will rise next week without the baseball playoffs and when thursday night football is over it will return to its normal numbers.

    Didn’t we hear that same talk about the Super Bowl slot? Even with the lowest SB slot ever, Elementary still had triple its normal audience and the chance for growth, but a whopping 0% of those new viewers tuned in the next week. The same week last year Elementary was also opposite the baseball playoffs and managed a 2.3. It wasn’t the baseball, it was the fact that Scandal was then pulling a 1.9 and NBC had Rock Center which was pulling below a 1, plus Elementary had a 2.8 lead-in (POI).

    Take away Baseball next week and you still have Elementary behind an aging sitcom lead-in that barely pulls a 2, an NBC hourlong drama which pulls just about the same, and the ever-growing monster that is Scandal. CBS put up a good fight, but it’s time to face facts that Elementary CANNOT manage new viewers. Every stunt CBS has tried has been useless. It dropped after the SB slot, it dropped after going on hiatus in the spring, it collected zero new viewers over the summer for a weak 2.0 new season premiere. The same week it was on the cover of TV Guide, which is the only magazine cover it’s ever gotten, its ratings plummeted!

    It was already one of the ten biggest ratings declines of the new season before this week’s even further drop. Include this week and Elementary has the biggest percentage loss in its timeslot of all scripted hourlongs across all networks.

    CBS needs to Face facts that most hate Johnny lee miller and his Sherlock and cancel the show now and hostages and find new shows.

    Deo,
    It’s great you are watching Scandal for whatever reason. My point is no one can deny that Kerry is the lead actress and one of the reasons the show is so popular. You identify any show with the lead actress and actor, Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn. If you are tuning in to see Bellamy good, please continue. However, Kerry’s role as Olivia Pope has helped with Scandal’s popularity among the fans. In my opinion she’s excellent in this role and a very young, beautiful and talented actress. It’s great that Bellamy was promoted to a regular cast member on last season. Before Scandal I had never seen or heard of Bellamy Young.

  • Miss-Marbles

    I started out with a lot of hope for Elementary, but it’s so bland and boring, and the plot “twists” are so predictable, I can’t imagine it will survive. I certainly won’t miss it.

  • Amy

    Disappointing ratings for Elementary, and I think they are suffering from not having Person of Interest as a lead in. Love both shows!

  • Tabitha

    Reign can not be considered “dead”. This is CW remember, as long as it stays above 0.1 it’s safe ????

  • Tabitha

    Haha my smiley face turned into ????

  • michaelincmh

    Loved Reign, and LOVE Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Pathetic that after one or two shows a decision is made. Long gone are the days in which a show was given a chance to succeed.

  • hlnkid

    I’ve always hated the time slot for Elementary, but didnt expect it to fall like that. One of my favorites on TV. Smart show. Hopefully it redeems next week.

  • Deo

    @Kat

    Funny, because before Scandal I had never seen or heard about Karry…but I had seen Bellamy before:)
    And I agree that Kerry does a good job promoting the show, and under that light, yes, she brings viewers. But you´ll never convince me that it´s her skills as an actress that bring them, sorry. She´s not that good.

    should HAVE

    What’s your evidence that they don’t?
