Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    HALF NUMBERS FOR SCANDAL: 3.2 – 3.5
    PROBABLY WILL ADJUST UP.

CONGRATS TO SHONDA, KERRY AND THE REST OF THE CAST AND CREW FOR THE BEST WRITTEN, ACTED AND DIRECTED DRAMA ON TV RIGHT NOW.

    TOTALLY DESERVED NUMBERS.

I HOPE THE NETWORKS’ DISAPPOINTING DRAMAS LEARN FROM SCANDAL HOW TO BE A GREAT SHOW (IN REVENGE’S CASE, HOW TO BE A LESS TERRIBLE SHOW, CAUSE I DON’T THINK A SHOW WITH THAT STORY AND THAT CAST ESPECIALLY EMILY VANCAMP CAN DELIVER A GOOD SHOW).

  • Phil

Reign did well and the Originals is better than the VD

  • HB

    Wow. Great for TVD

    Reign did alright

  • Doug

    Ouch @ NBC once again…

  • psychic

I don’t see and never saw OUATiW going on for more than a season.

  • Bernard

Reign lost almost half its lead in. Well at least CW has five dramas that are working. Applaud their effort for trying something different with this one.

  • Joe Daniels

    @Phil – Wrong. The Originals was 2.22 million with a 1.1

  • John A

Great for TVD. Not great for Reign. Wow Scandal did well. Greys is showing its age.

  • jT

“KERRY AND THE REST OF THE CAST AND CREW FOR THE BEST WRITTEN, ACTED AND DIRECTED DRAMA ON TV RIGHT NOW.”

You do know scandal is just an inferior version of homeland, right?

  • skyfi

Batb did 1.2 after VD, so this 0.8 is nothing for Reign.

  • EatMorePez

    @Paris

I think your Caps Lock is broken.

  • CrimTV

Woop, so happy for TVD and Reign started alright, it depends how much it declines/rises from here. Great for The Millers and good to see The Crazy Ones steady, overall a good night for ABC, CBS, Fox and CW, not so good for NBC but that’s expected.

  • tommie

RIP Wonderland. I guess they could try repeating it on Sundays for a few weeks and hope that some of OUAT’s viewers find it.

  • darius

The millers might get a season order after this week s numbers!

  • Andy

It looks like Parenthood has bottomed out at a 1.3 and just under 4 million. That about .5 and 1 million less viewers than last season. I think going up against Scandal has hurt the ratings. NBC really should pair it up with dramas and not with comedies. (Even though I like Sean Saves the World and the Michael J. Fox show). Love Scandal, too!

  • Thiago

Good for Reign, hope it will be adjusted up.

  • Rachel

    Elementary keeps falling.

  • Johno

Once upon a time does not work on a Thursday, look at all the shows, the fairy tale show doesn’t work with quality comedies on cbs and quality dramas on abc, I love once upon a time, but wonderland is not working, it’s a bit embarrassing that cw beat it

  • CrimTV

    Ouch at Elementary though…

  • HB

TVD actual beat ABC and tied with NBC?

CW is doing good this year!
