Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Josh

OMG ONCE was amazing last night please Nielsen watch it !!!

  • betty

    revenge>>>>>>>>>>scandal.

  • hello

ABC must be happy they kept Scandal. I knew Wonderland wouldn’t continue beyond ep 13, but now it will probably be ripped off the air ASAP. Expected Reign to to better, CW just can’t launch anything after VD

  • Billy

Two and a Half Men got a 4.0 last year. It lost nearly half of that this year to a 2.1. Lead in matters.

  • Andy

Scandal is so overrated but great ratings.

  • John A

I agree. At least Reign is something different for CW. Pity it didnt do better for them.

  • Rachel

Reign wasn’t good. It’ll sink next week.

  • Lily

Reign will only go down from here…
TVD is reigning the CW again…

  • Chris Parker

JT, is there really a need to be an A**?

Excellent numbers for Scandal ! Way to go

  • Carmen

I have no idea why ABC would choose to open a show like “OUAT Wonderland” opposite the strongest scripted show of the week.

They should have tried Friday at either 8:00 (pushing back their comedies) or 9:00. There it might – that’s might – have had a chance.

  • jupiter3765

    good for greys anatnomy

  • Carl

I wish Elementary wouldn’t keep declining.

Reign is the same as Tomorrow People, although that was for the second week. I just don’t think anything after TVD is going to be over 1.0, at least not for long.

  • Alberto

I am so happy for THE MILLERS!!!

  • Laura

@Phil – I’m not sure if you mean in terms of quality, which is obviously subjective, but if you’re talking ratings, then TVD did better. Originals got 1.1, TVD got 1.3.

  • jonay

damn that’s a train wreck for NBC and bad start for the CW i can see this being a limited series.

  • Mon

The Millers is surprisingly holding up well. It might be well below 2.5 Men’s 4.0 last year but 2.5 Men is an established show already. I didn’t like last night’s TM. The dad wa super annoying and stupid. But I’llcontinue to watch because Will Arnett body’s hot. Ouch at Elementary and 2.5 Men.TBBT did excellent no news about that. Great episode.

  • Jack Bauer

The 8 p.m. Thursday night time slot is still a “black hole” for ABC. Are people continue to be IGNORED?!

  • Dillan

    Amazing for TVD!

    Reign had an okay start.

  • zerg

Community returns in November(sweeps) at 8

  • CrimTV

TVD actually beat 5 shows and tied with two others, I bet Mark Pedowitz is jumping and screaming somewhere.
