TV Ratings Thursday: 'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland' Sinks, 'Scandal', 'The Millers' & 'The Vampire Diaries' Rise, Average Debut for 'Reign'

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory earned a 4.9 down 4 percent from last week's 5.1 adults 18-49 rating. The Millers garnered a 3.2 up 7 percent from last week's 3.0 adults 18-49 rating. The Crazy Ones scored a 2.5 up 4 percent from last week's 2.4 adults 18-49 rating. Two and a Half Men notched a series low 2.1 down 9 percent from last week's 2.3. Elementary earned a series low 1.6 down 16 percent from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On ABC, Once Upon A Time in Wonderland earned a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating down 29 percent from a 1.7 for last week’s premiere. Grey's Anatomy tied its series low with a 2.6 down 7 percent  from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating. Scandal scored a 3.3, up 6 percent from last week's 3.1 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, Baseball Playoffs matched Wednesday’s  preliminary 2.4  adults 18-49 rating.

On NBC, Parks & Recreation garnered a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating up 8 percent from last week's 1.2. Welcome to the Family scored a 0.9 up 13 percent from last week’s 0.8 adults 18-49 rating . Sean Saves the World earned a1.1 up 10 percent  from last week's 1.0 adults 18-49 rating. The Michael J Fox Show matched last week's 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.  Parenthood garnered a 1.3 up 8 percent from last week's series low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating .

On the CW, The Vampire Diaries scored a 1.3 up 30 percent  from last week's 1.0 adults 18-49 rating. The Vampire Diaries ranked number three in its time period, a rarity for a CW show against original competition on the big four. The series premiere of Reign earned a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating down 33 percent from a 1.2 for the series premiere of Beauty & the Beast in the time period on Thursday, October 11, 2012 and down 20 percent from a 1.0 for the premiere of The Originals two weeks ago. Your predictions were too optimistic.

  • From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore) trailed CBS's original "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT.     Can OUATiW PLEASE move to Sundays, after OUAT?! I’m falling in love with this show and I don’t want to lose it! ABC should cancel Betrayl, move Revenge to nine, and put Wonderland in Revenge’s current spot.

    1. No, that’s why there’s no reason to move it.

    2. Lots of people are wrong.

    3. Goldbergs ratings: 3.1/2.2/1.9/1.6. Middle ratings: 2.5/2.3/2.2. Even with that fluke 3.1 after the debut of SHIELD, Goldbergs averages a 2.2 to The Middle’s 2.3. And the trend is not its friend.

    4. “I have no idea.” You could just stop there.

    5. They move weaker shows to Fridays because there are fewer TVs in use, so advertisers pay less.

    6. Yes, MF was between two burn offs in May and June. Big difference between that and midseason.

    Hooray for “Once Upon A Time In Wonderland” crashing and burning. Maybe Disney will learn a lesson about injecting unwanted gay characters into their shows. I certainly have no plans to watch the original “Once Upon A Time” after Mulan supposedly “came out” to Aurora. Barf! How stupid was that? One of the unfortunate side affects of the gay marriage farce is the way Hollywood is falling in line and corrupting everything, believing the public WANTS that. Think again, Disney.

    I love Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. I hope they try moving it before just cancelling it. :(
