Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Percy

Anyone know the half hours for Hawaii Five-0?

  • Eelna

    Great for reign rerun

  • Glue

At least the Neighbors has good retention…

  • rob60990

That Neighbors fanboy is probabky jumping for joy over such a minscule increase. It will go back below a 1 again andagain and then again. :D

Fantastic as always for Shark Tank and with no ads during the week.

  • miracle

General question: Why do you compare the overnight ratings to the final ratings of the previous week? Why not compare overnight to overnight rating and final to final rating?

  • omabin

Half-hour for H50? Hopefully it adjusts up! What happened with Undercover Boss? That is a ridiculous increase!

Too bad that ABC has so many problems elsewhere because if not I could get behind them trying something other than 20/20 after Shark Tank and sent 20/20 to Sundays. As odd as it is, it would be a better arrangement for the show put there than the Sundays alternative. But they won’t do it nor should they with everything they have going on.

    @Percy Hawaii Five-0 Half Hours
    9PM 1.4/5
    9:30PM 1.4/5

  • Renz

CRAP! Hope The Neighbors is adjusted down a tenth in demo and viewers in final ratings!!

  • Mike

Hawaii will end with a 1.2 or lower by Christmas, Next week Grimm is back.
ST is a hit for abc, too bad they cannot give the show a better lead in.

  • JR35

Shark Tank rose- Barbra and Lori were going at it, in what was one of my favorite episodes yet. :) An adjustment up to a 2.0 would be icing.

  • anna g

Surprising increase for Undercover boss. So far it has been the weakest link for CBS on Friday. Pitty that H50 and Blue bloods are down. Shark tank was up compared to previous week. Next week Friday is going to be interesting with Grimm coming back.

  • s0303

really good for the reality shows…okay for hawaii five-0…can’t wait for grimm and dracula next week, i haven’t watched anything on friday so far this season…

  • Tom

Sleepy Hollow didn’t do too bad for being a repeat.

  • omabin

Also, apparently Bones is really moving in on the night, so that will also be interesting. I think it could win the 8pm hour, it will be an interesting battle with Undercover Boss (assuming this week number is a fluke)

  • Andrew

wow, why was Undercover Boss up so much?

  • Andy

People are watching Hawaii 5-0 (9 million is a lot for a Friday night). It’s just not in the key demographic. They should still keep it around then sell it to syndication.
