Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Reign repeat beats ANTM hn viewers.Thats good for CW

CBS #1 in 18-49 Demo AGAIN! Nice increase for UB, will use NLCS on TBS as fan excuse for H50 & BB

ST again upticks @ 9:00, but LMS (not so much)/TN (especially) & 20/20 leave much to be desired for ABC

NBC should improve 9-11 w/ Grimm premiere & Dracula debut next week (EW chose Dracula as must watch of the week) & interesting that MJF & SSTW-R just about matched original Thurs ep’s (again)

Not surprised by drop for MCJ on FOX, SH-R did pretty good

    ANTM still lame w/ 0.4, Reign-R at least bested Nikita w/ 0.3

  • Dillan

    Reign repeated well.

  • Tom

With most other drama shows doing bad on CBS Hawaii 50 is doing good.

  • Noel

Hawaii 5-0 is still there because it sells really well for syndication and blue bloods could sell a bit too.

    @ miracle

It’s the FINAL ratings that count & go down in the books, the prelim are just a snap shot of what occurred in the overnights

  • Shepherd

Looks like H5O blew its chance at beating Ele this week. So much for all of yesterday’s talk.

General question: Why do you compare the overnight ratings to the final ratings of the previous week? Why not compare overnight to overnight rating and final to final rating?

I’m sorry, but that question has been asked and answered a half dozen times in the past week alone. I mean really people, if you can’t be bothered with reading comments, why expect people to bother answering your questions?

  • Hoyt

Reign should be moved to Fridays. Nice for ANTM. Steady as a rock, and still better than B&TB.

  • Sarah

I really hope Bones does well against Undercover Boss, LMS, and TN.

    @ Shepherd

To amuse an old man who’s housebound & bored due to inclement weather (LOL)!

  • feinn

Reign repeated like other new cw shows, not great just the average. Nothing worth mentioning

  • feinn

Reign on Fridays really? CW not going to put expensive period drama there unless burnoff

  • miracle

Thank you! :) Could you please also explain what NLCS means? I guess some sports event?

“… if you can’t be bothered with reading comments, why expect people to bother answering your questions?”

Because there are people who don’t read each and every post in each and every topic on here. No need to answer like you just did.

Let’s wait for final ratings. Last week H50 was adjusted up to 1.5, who knows myabe it will be lucky again? As for Elementary and the entire Thursday line up, CBS must be biting their nails for messing with the good working schedule from last year. New comedies are not doing as expected and Elementary is sinking.

  • Skylar James

Last Man Standing should be second on the list

  • Avery

ABC cant even win Fridays now lol

  • chloe

    Is LMS expensive

  • Eelna

If reruns of new shows can do well, i honestly think the carrie diaries con too on the cw.

  • tahina

Not surprised by Blue Bloods numbers, ths show is too predictable. Still watching it for Donnie WHalberg though. <3

NLCS = National League Championship Series, ALCS= American League Championship Series. It all has to do with the divisions in baseball playing each other to see which ball team wins their division championship…which then determines what two teams will then go on to play each other in the World Series.
