BONES Moves to Fridays and Season Four of RAISING HOPE Premieres November 15

New buddy-cop thrill-ride ALMOST HUMAN will have a special two-night series premiere on Sunday, Nov. 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), following an NFL ON FOX double-header, and Monday, Nov. 18 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

BONES will continue Mondays (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) with all-new episodes on Nov. 4 and Nov. 11, followed by all-new episodes of SLEEPY HOLLOW (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). BONES moves to Fridays and makes its time period premiere on Nov. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). That same night, RAISING HOPE will have its fourth season premiere with one hour of all-new back-to-back episodes (9:00-9:30 PM and 9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT).

From Emmy Award-winning executive producer J.J. Abrams (“Fringe,” “Lost,” “Revolution,” “Person of Interest,” the “Star Trek” and “Mission: Impossible” franchises) and creator/executive producer J.H. Wyman (“Fringe,” “The Mexican”), comes ALMOST HUMAN. Starring Karl Urban (the “Star Trek” and “The Lord of the Rings” franchises) and Golden Globe Award nominee Michael Ealy (“Sleeper Cell,” “Common Law”), the new series is set in 2048, when police officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. ALMOST HUMAN will follow the week-to-week missions of JOHN KENNEX (Urban), a detective and sole survivor of a devastating police ambush, and his robot partner, DORIAN (Ealy), as this buddy-cop duo solve cases and fight to keep the lid on dangerously evolved criminals in this futuristic landscape.

ALMOST HUMAN is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc., in association with Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The series was created by J.H. Wyman, who wrote the pilot. The series is executive-produced by J.J. Abrams, Wyman and Bryan Burk. Kathy Lingg (“Person of Interest,” “Revolution,” “Fringe”) and Reid Shane (“Fringe”) are co-executive producers. Brad Anderson (“Fringe,” “The Killing”) directed and served as co-executive producer on the pilot. “Like” ALMOST HUMAN on Facebook at Facebook.com/AlmostHumanFOX. Great! Huge lead in hope they follow to Monday also, last minute move fox promoted the hell out of this show for the 4th

  • Christian

Haha, Bones’ Friday moves always gets delayed/postponed.

What’s more interesting to me is The Simpsons going on the 9 PM anchor spot (for just one night). I wonder why they haven’t tried Family Guy leading off the night (one would think it would make better use of the football lead-in now)?

  • Dan

Good, it seems FOX wants those 2 extra episodes of Bones to air on Mondays in case AH flops.

  • Jiji Moran

Will watch “Almost Human” to check it out. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Urban, he’s such a sexy cutie pattootie.

Now, if the series becomes a soap opera, or has 2013 themes instead of 2048, I’ll switch.

Great to see at least attempts at sci-fi.

  • KK

I don’t want Raising Hope on Fridays. I don’t know why Fox is so adamant on having such a nice, slice-of-life sitcom like that on a tough night. Why cant they throw Dads into the dumpster and replace it with RH?

  • Observer

Not really a fan of Urban, but the show does look interesting so I think I’ll take a peek.

  • Dan

@KK – I think the delay actually might prepare FOX to do that. Move RH back to tuesdays and Dads to Fridays, although the most recent ratings for Dads are equal to the recently full seasoned Brooklyn Nine-Nine (1.5) and a point above Mindy Project (1.4).

Fox can at least be happy that they arent the lowest rated comedy night of the week.

  • Matt

Bones will probably do in the 1.4-1.8 area and around 6 million on Fridays, enough to get it renewed.

Predicting a 3.0 and 10 million for AH on Sunday and a 2.7 and around 9 million for Monday.

Raising Hope will do around the 1.2-1.5 area on Fridays.

  • MVProductions44

Why is everyone so hell bent on shipping Dads to Fridays when its garnering higher ratings than Mindy and this week matched Brooklyn Nine-Nine? Mindy should get shelved or shipped to Friday and give Raising Hope its time-slot on Tuesdays!

    Aw man! Another 2 wks!

  • Igwell

Good moves. 49ers vs Saints should do great at 4:30. The primetime NBC game is the Packers vs the so-far-winless Giants.

  • Dan S

I hope this gambit pays off for AH. Still ticked to see RH being moved to Fri where it’s numbers will likely be in the low 1’s. I would’ve thought Glee would sooner go to Fri & maybe Bones to Thur.

  • Shepherd

It looks like FOX really wants this to succeed. I was fairly interested, but I don’t like that they refer to it as a “buddy cop” show. I really hope there is more to it than that.

  • Benjamin

    Interesting to see:
    1) FOX thinks the Sleepy Hollow repeats on Friday are worth it to promote the Monday new episodes, and we get 2 more of them.
    2) MasterChef Jr is considered valuable enough to get 2 sweeps airings.
    3) Bobs Burgers and American Dad are pawns that get pre-empted first.
    4) FOX does want Almost Human to succeed, and it will (eventually) go to Mondays.
    5) FOX is reconsidering sending Bones to Fridays (not reconsidering booting it off Mondays). But if not Fridays, where can Bones go? Are we waiting to see how X-Factor’s first week of live shows and Glee’s November 7th episode perform?
    6) Hope’s going to be cranky.

  • Tony JJ

Aww man I was starting to get excited for the premiere on the 4th. But this is a very smart move by FOX. it should get a decent sampling on Sunday night and hopefully will be carried over to Mondays. Plus extra repeats of sleepy hollow on Fridays aren’t gonna hurt. Who knew FOX could potentially have a good Monday line up. Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow seem like hits. And hopefully the following comes back strong or stronger. It’s on netflix now!

  • Sarah

    I agree with #5.

  • r0ckmypants

This announcement is coming really late… Fox has been promoting the hell out of this premiere for weeks.

  • Dan

@Benjamin – I think everyone is over thinking this.

FOX does want Almost Human to succeed, as well as give it more new eps for midseason. The boost couldn’t hurt the show and a new show starting out that 8pm timeslot against The Voice, DWTS, and CBS’s comedies, probably doesn’t bode well for Almost Human. The two night premiere will inevitably help it.

Same with AD and BB, both shows will get an episode each for next year, which helps because NFL doesn’t really help the animated comedies, which is why FOX airs only a handful of new eps of their shows in the fall.

Master Chef JR. is safe for another season after doing well on fridays (As far as all Gordon Ramsey shows on FOX forever) and as far as Raising Hope and Bones are concerned…

In terms of Bones FOX realizes that the show is old, and probably will end next year if not this year. The show has been scheduled to move to fridays more times then the series has seasons, and that’s the only slot available. The show’s ratings dont matter anymore, what will determine the shows status is if David Boreanaz wants to do a final season. I suspect the show will do OK fridays maybe 1.3-1.6.

As for Raising Hope, the delay helps the show because it just means either a week less of repeats into December or next year. Fox has 22 episodes of Raising Hope this season, (24 if they produced 22 for Season 4 and added the 2 leftovers but 22 if they only intend on producing 20) The show like all comedies will probably get a 1.0-1.3 on fridays but, this season may be the last anyway so the show can enter syndication next year and who knows maybe FOX will bring it back for a fifth go around if Enlisted and Surviving Jack fail.

This could be a good season for FOX and dramas, potentially comedies if things go better come midseason.

Kinda cutting it close FOX… I suppose it’s a smart idea, I mean I think it would’ve done fine without NFL boost since FOX has been promoting endlessly. FOX would be stupid to put RH in the Friday slot. Cancel Mindy Project or Dad, even tho B99 gets same ratings it’s the #2 DVR show in demo next to NG. So that kinda counts for something. Bones could move to Fridays or replace Glee on Thursdays.

  • Ram510

I’m surprised so many people think Raising Hope will be able to pull off low 1’s on a Friday when I could barely do that on Tuesday. I see RH getting a .8 at best

Since Sleepy Hallow only has 13 episodes what will Fox replace it with mid season?

I wonder if Fox will ever consider placing a hour long show Sundays at 8 and keeping Simpsons and Family Guy at 9?
