Sunday's The Walking Dead episode dropped from the ginormous premiere ratings last week to a still gigantic 13.9 million viewers and a 7.1 adults 18-49 rating. Still, your predictions were a little optimistic.

  • One eye

AMC would be happy with a 3.0

  • AllOfHerTw!st

    I was predicting a 6.9.

    It’s crashing fast. :-) ;-)

This show gets the most undeserved ratings of anything I have ever seen. It deserves no more than a 1.5.

Looks like Governor back next episode according to IMDB! I am guessing he is orchestrating the feeding of the rats to walkers. Burned bodies? Thinking someone else…
I’ve been saying it since early in the episode last wk that someone was working with the governor and feeding them the rats and other stuff I think the new black guy is doing it.. Cause it seems to be that it wouldn’t be someone that was previously with the group and the other people got killed off, so it’s him,. I’m fairly certain.

Thing is it’s still the 2nd highest rated episode ever on the series by a million and half viewers.

  • Samuel

My first thought is to say that this is quite a big drop… Then again, it’s still beating anything on tv.

  • Reprise

@someone was working with the governor and feeding them

Personally I thought it was more a 2 stage thing. Someone from the Governors group herds them in the general direction of the Prison, and someone at the Prison feeds them Rats etc to keep them there.

It would be impossible to draw such large numbers with dead rats alone.

  • Dan

    7.1 ehh?

How much of that percent are Walkers?

  • William

The ratings slipped because of Sunday Night Football, you can always dvr the Walking Dead and watch it later, cant do that with Football.

  • Chandra Jordan

Um, 13.9 million isn’t anything to sneeze at

    Think I voted 7.5, but a 13% drop isn’t bad either!

  • Laura

Why is it that ratings for “The Walking Dead” are being posted, but not the rest of Sunday night’s cable shows??

  • Scandalfan

When the Governor comes back it will win the viewers back.

  • Dorothy5334

@laura typically the people for AMC posts their numbers on Monday early with there own press release that’s how the tvbythenumbers gets it early.. Other than that all valve ratings typically get released a day later then the major networks.. Same things been happening to American horror story and Breaking bad as well

  • Dorothy5334

Other not valve my iPhone autocorrect sucks..

  • Doug

AMC would be happy with a 2.0, considering that they have no show that currently does that.

TWD won’t hit that level for a few seasons, at least.

  • Dan

@Laura – Because the rest of the shows ratings suck ;)

I wonder how long it will take AMC to cancel Low Winter Sun? Rubicon had better numbers and it didn’t directly follow a high rated final season.

  • John

Football was on last week too.

  • Patrick

Why are people hating on this show. Dont be jealous just Watch somr other show there are hundreds. I love this show from 1 season to now.

  • Dorothy5334

Patrick that’s what horrible pathetic people do.. They hate on a show because they are not happy with their own show getting this much buzz and high ratings so they do whatever they can to put it down. Sounds Pathetic right?
