Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

i really want the new show ressurection to succed

  • HB

    OUCH at ABC!

Once was good last night. Hopefully it can bounce back next week.

  • diana

    Nielsen viewers suck

  • Dan S

Sundays really belong to cable shows & Football. The broadcast networks on Sun are looking a lot like Fri in the numbers game. This is why I think increasingly we’ll see more reality & shows with lowered expectations airing there.

  • Josh

Never ever write OUAT and Breaking Bad in the same sentece. Don´t insult a brilliant show like Breaking Bad like that

wow what a cliché you got it all wrong my point was not to compare them

  • Ashley

Bye bye OUAT after one more season, at most. Sad. The only good rating was football.

  • Chris

I think the football game killed a lot of OUAT considering it was Peyton VS the Colts, next week should be much better I would assume.

  • Freddy Arrow

“The Gunsmoke Rule is my god whenever I’m in this site, but let’s admire these numbers. They are no better than Sunday repeats on the 2010 – 2011 season… How sad is that?”

If you were to compare DVR, on demand and online viewing (in addition to live) for this year and 2010, I would guess that viewership for network shows hasn’t changed all that much. Technology marches on. Its not sad at all.

  • Charmed

What is the limit on Revenge? It surely can’t fall much lower…

  • Cle

half hour numbers for dramas.. anyone

  • Carmen

Some may overly attribute Mentalist decline to the odd starting times caused by the football overruns which make it necessary to stay up until 11:30.

I believe a small part of the shows decline can be from the (late start due to) football overrun, but I think a much bigger culprit is the waaaaaayyyyyy overplayed and extended out Red John storyline.

The shows insistence on prolonging RJ has severely damaged the ratings for the show.
I know it has lost me and many people I know personally. I can only surmise that this is typical of the former audience.

It may well be far too late, but if the showrunners want to have CBS entertain another season for the show, they need to wrap up RJ ASAP and then try to see if they can show a ratings improvement for the remainder of the season.
But it is probably too late.

As a Scandal fan, Revenge needs a new time slot ifits gonna improve ratings wise. I know ABC has limited options to fill that void but Revenge had its best ratings in its original slot

  • Jared

This Neverland arc on OUAT isn’t doing the ratings any favors week after week. Its ashame because this season has been pretty solid so far.
Btw is it just me or does this feel like The Good Wife’s final season??

  • Toni

    OUAT no ….

k alex they wont move the game, if they did the pregame show would be against the early games final half

  • Ytr

I like Peter Pan storyline :D I hope OUAT adjust up

    @ r0ckmypants

I’m so with you on this one! I tried again last night for awhile & considered it sheer torture to watch OUAT. Things have to be bad when the big reveal is Hook’s Kiss for next week.

    Exciting, no?

  • Robert

I’m guessing the The Good Wife will get adjusted down, or does the fact that it aired relatively close to it’s “scheduled” 9:30 time mean that the numbers aren’t as “meaningless” as they usually are? Hopefully it was just people are tuning in again because the next couple episodes are truly epic for the show.

  • Samunto

Oh snap, Viewers have left ABC in droves! And last night’s episode of Revenge shows the crazy direction the series has taken. Way over-the-top. Somehow season 2 Desperate Housewives survived that but i’m not sure how Revenge will….

  • diana

They seriously need to move revenge out of that finally pronto
