Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I hope Jafar joins Once after Wonderland end. Sayyid was always is a good character. Hopefully, he could be once Once is on Tuesday.

I used to love OUAT and Revenge SO much in their first seasons, then in the second seasons Revenge got stale and OUAT about to get stale and now in their third seasons Revenge got better but not great while OUAT is getting stale. ABC messed up these shows last year with their dumb scheduling and now they’ll never get their viewers back. Well at least they have good DVR viewings…

  • Kelly

OUAT – WORST EPISODE EVER! Who hired that clown Michael Raymond-James as Neal? Actors in Twilight emote better than that cardboard cutout. I root for him to be killed each week. At least next week we can see a little action with two people that actually have chemistry – Emma & Hook! This season has been a HUGE disappointment. And the entire first half of this season is centered around this HORRIBLE Peter Pan “storyline”. Did they bring on a batch of new writers? They suck!

  • ethan

OUAT and Revenge still the top scripted shows of the night…it is silly to think that football is not effecting their ratings and i am sure abc execs are able to grasp that.

  • r0ckmypants

@jupiter3765 – “nashville ratings are decent and stable while revenge is dropping like a rock”

Stable? It got 2.0, 1.9, 1.6, 1.6 so far this season. So yes, the last two episodes had the same rating. Which was only one tenth higher than this week’s Revenge, and the same as last week’s Revenge. And, as several have already pointed out, Revenge has been this low (and lower) before. Let’s not get carried away.

  • Randy

Ummm…CBS is not football delayed, TV Guide and a lot of places had the correct CBS schedule. They now start 60 Minutes at 7:30, TAR at 8:30 etc so these are correct.

  • jupiter3765

the walking dead is that show though

  • Percysowner

@Duarte Although moving Revenge to Sundays didn’t help Revenge, season 2 being a convoluted mess is what really took it down. I hear that it is good now, but I lost interest during season 2 and I’m just not moved to get back into it.

  • Networkman

I really hate that Once Upon a Time tied its series low last night. Because I felt it aired the strongest episode of the season. The young man(Robbie Kay) playing Peter Pan is doing a great job. And I also expect a quality episode when Robert Carlyle is showcased. He deserves more recognition for his performance.

Also Revenge had me on the edge of my seat. I don’t expect constant action. I love the cat and mouse chase of it all. I love seeing who can outsmart each other. I think most of the younger generation wants quick gratification. They would prefer to see Emily simply kill the Grayson and be done with it. But the whole purpose of the show, is that she wants them to clear her father’s name. So she is going about different ways to bring them down or bring down any one who helped the Grayson, hoping they would hit their low point and confess. It is a great show and I love going for the ride.

ABC needs to do something to protect these shows asap.

  • Dan

Ummm, Randy, where I am the shows started at 38 minutes after the hour, not 30.

  • r0ckmypants

@Randy – “Ummm…CBS is not football delayed, TV Guide and a lot of places had the correct CBS schedule. They now start 60 Minutes at 7:30, TAR at 8:30 etc so these are correct.”

Are we SERIOUSLY going to do this again?!

CBS’s lineup was pre-delayed by 30 minutes. That delay was built into last night’s schedule, but it was still a delay.

  • Ryan

OUAT bottoming out is a good thing, it means the writers will know season 4 is the last for sure and they’ll wrap everything up. Worst case scenario would be season 4 being on the ratings bubble, they roll the dice and leave a bunch of cliffhangers and then the show gets canceled.

  • Percysowner

@Charmed The Peter Pan storyline really is bringing OUAT down, it’s not the same show without Storybrooke. I hope this isn’t going to last the whole season, or else ratings could get even worse.

My understanding was that this year was going to be broken into 2 parts. This one, ending in November and the next one starting next spring. I’m pretty sure that the Neverland arc is supposed to only run through November and there will be a new arc come spring. I am actually enjoying the Peter Pan arc and I have no problem with evil Peter.

  • dantas

People saying Revenge will get canceled, are delusional.

The show WILL get a 4th season for syndication purposes, EVEN if it hits multiple 1.2s on spring or an occasional 1.0. And if it does, it’ll be given a shorter order of episodes than usual.

ABC will only cancel Revenge by May 2014 if it starts pulling many 0.9 (or lower). And by “many” I mean 4 or 5 episodes.

  • TV Viewer

    @Mathew:

In response to your question asked at 8:47 AM: The -“R” after a scripted program means it’s a repeat episode. The network previously aired this particular episode of a show before and is showing it again for one reason or another.

The scripted shows that do not have an -“R” after them means they are original episodes being shown for the first time.

  • Betty

I love OUAT the numbers are not great but they are not that bad for ABC. I doubt they want to get rid of their top rated show for Sunday. I’m sure it also gets a lot of dvr viewing due to football.

  • jupiter3765

does anyone think that abc might just clean house come may

  • Paul

@ Kelly: OUAT – WORST EPISODE EVER! Who hired that clown Michael Raymond-James as Neal?

Couldn’t agree more – he ruins the show. I hope they kill him off too! and Soon!

  • diana

Seriously I hope revenge stops dropping and goes up at least a tenth and stabilizes

  • Steph

Wish Revenge was higher. It’s so good this season!
