There’s no way for me to tell for sure, but given the total viewers, BaTb seems to be flirting with 0.2s; not good.

Overall, the adjustments were in line with what one might expect. Hostages stayed steady which is better than nothing I guess.

NBC should really start considering the chance of overexposure for tV as they move forward. It was nice having it to fill in for poorly performing shows, but at some point it will hurt tV’s ratings.

    Yeah Bones!

    Nice hold for The Blacklist!

    Castle is getting renewed.

    Hostages back to normal.

  • Melanie

So, the repeat of Reign on Friday did as well in the demo and had more people watching than a new BATB on Monday? Sorry BATB fans, but that is just awful.
Are we really sure that HOD is going to get another season?

Good for The Blacklist – glad to see it stabilize at a 3.

  • DM

Good for Mom! I guess Octavia Spencer made a difference.

Not surprised at all by the CW drop.

  • tommie

LOL @ BatB. How have they not just pulled it and at least try to put Carrie Diaries in the slot? That seems far more compatible with HoD, even if it’s ratings will still be utterly pathetic.

  • Oliver

Looks like Blacklist may have stabilised.

  • Anna g

The blacklist held up nicely and didn’t drop that much after The voice like Revolution did last year. Castle was a bit down but the episode was great. Hostages were adjusted down – this show is a disaster.

  • madbengalsfan85

Thrilled that Bones gets adjusted up.

  • Someone

Haha. I knew BATB would simply be adjusted down to the same ratings its had since its premiere date. I even called it. I bet Nielsen doesn’t even bother to do any calculations anymore. All of the comments I’ve read here by people who have commented and the ratings people have told me repeatedly that a preemption should not have that much of an impact (at most .1 or .2), but here we have some BS “adjustment” that once again makes the ratings exactly the same as before, except this time it’s a 100% adjustment in viewers and drop in points. What a joke this rating system is.

  • John A

The Blacklist stable for NBC now but still couldnt beat Scandal despite the lead in.

  • skyfi

Nevermind. BatB will be up to 0.5-0.6 later. Just wait and watch…

  • Sammy01

Please Fox don’t move Bones to Friday!

Glee and all the comedies on Fox wish they could pull between 2.0 and 2.2 each week, yet it is Bones they are threatening to move to Friday.

  • Shepherd

    @Dan S

I’m not sure why, but I get the feeling that Hostages will stick around for its initial 13. I don’t usually follow CBS too closely, but if they air Hostages into sweeps, there doesn’t seem to be much point in pulling it.

  • Melanie

Umm @ Someone — what the hell are you talking about? You think Nielsen has in specifically for BATB? That’s nonsense.

  • BBFan

This was to be expected. The final adjustments for the show remove the markets that aired sports during the time instead. But those markets will be added back in when those ep air there. In the case of the CW, that’s next Sun & both Dixie & Beast might exceed there norms then. In the case of CBS, that’s likely Sat & those #”s are sure to be lower than their norms. The finals for the pre-empted markets will come out next Tues.

  • CrimeDawg

Well cool Happy Dance for The Blacklist. I think that is a first in not being adjusted down.

rick since hostages is a limited run they may just leave it there until football and the voice are done

  • Max Vrany

@Someone, Nielsen is still measuring ratings and a preemption normally has an impact of one or two-tenths, but in this case the preemption was in the #1 market in the US. Bigger market = bigger impact.

  • gerry

those are good numbers for mom and 2bg! decent, anyhow!

@ tommie – agreed. at least tcd was pulling 0.4s and 0.5s on mondays. batb is barely pulling a 0.3 – it was fully lead in dependent last year and fans should simply enjoy the fact that it got a full season order and has time to wrap up nicely.

  • Melanie

@BBFan I hate to break it to you, but I don’t think it works that way — especially if the rescheduled airing is more than 3 days after the air date.

Maybe Bill or Robert can expalin it.
