Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Boo! Beast proves that vs a Hollow repeat it can beat Dixie in both 18-49 & tv’s. That’s a 0.6 range so I’m sure Beast beat it. With Reign having a horrible premiere, the inventory isn’t there yet to push Beast out. Both Dixie & Beast have a shot at 0.9 L7 now.

  • rgxx

    Umm is Sleepy Hollow a show that will run thru May…if it’s only running until Jan…why run a repeat?

  • cas

    @Billy
    Being a younger female myself, I don’t want that awful show called the Voice. In all fairness, I don’t watch any reality shows. I don’t think it’s crazy CBS goes after the same audience. HIMYM has been on longer than the Voice so they should be able to hold their own. The Voice gets the family viewers, who probably have most of the damn neilsen boxes in the first place.

  • Aquirar94

    @rgxx Sleepy Hollow is only around for 13 episodes, it’s not running through May.

  • heshi

    Ms. Kondolojy — it’s odd that you don’t include “Beauty & the Beast” in your headline after its very impressive ratings last night — practically doubled last week’s episode. Why wasn’t it cited as one of the shows that went “up,” since BATB went WAY up? Is there an anti-Beast bias at TVBythenumbers?

    That’s why it isn’t included in the headline because it’ll most likely adjust down.

  • HalCapone

    The Big Bang balm, like The Voice, is the miracle cream that works its magic on what follows it–or so they claim in those infomercials. Unfortunately, this doesn’t cure the disease but just covers up the symptoms. The odds of The Blacklist surviving without The Voice are an unknown at this point. As for Mom, I believe it is ultimately terminal but CBS might put her on life support for a while because of the Chuck Lorre connection.

    @heshi

    Learn to read.

    EVERYONE NEEDS TO GIVE HOSTAGES A CHANCE! The show had a slow start but is getting really good know. Hope it doesn’t get adjusted down!

  • Rick

    DWTS went to one night, but they also went CHEAP.

    The show looks like its budget was cut WAY back, from the pre-recorded music to the sets to the “stars” sitting next to the judges, etc.

    Past seasons at least looked like quality on the screen. This one doesn’t. Does anyone else see what I’m seeing?

  • blogsnob

    I really like Hostages

  • skyfi

    wow, as I said week ago, BatB is up to 0.6! It will be stable enough and finally get renewed.

  • FRED

    Sorry Rick, but haven’t watched this show in years. But will take note and watch it ONDEMAND tonight. I love looking for budget cuts.
    C FACTOR which I do watch has certainly cut their budget: Lower salary judges, lower grand prize ( form 5 mil to 1 mi) and less smoke and lighting effects on stage.

  • Nikki

    Ive been saying for weeks now how good Hostages is.. people really do need to give it a try. Even if you can watch live.. DVR it. Watch it ondemand. I really like the show, good cast, good acting, action packed. But haha for the CW.. both shows are terrible.. never understood why HOD got another season, and beauty never deserved any more episodes let alone another season. Poor poor CW, the harder you fall the more i laugh, such a dead worthless network.

    Perhaps everyone should read the bright red text above before you start celebrating.

  • Brandy

    @BBfan, first, CW ratings are inflated and may adjust later so wait.Second,Beast & Dixie TIED in demo, Beast didn’t beat it.

  • ToXiX

    Since when does CW air football ?

    See below in case you missed this at the top of the page, and apparently about a third of you did.

    @BBFan , TO & TP premiered to 0.9, Reign .8& 2 Million viewers, so Reign didn’t have a terrible premiere.
