But these shows skew so old!

  • AllOfHerTw!st

    Old people rule! ;-)

NCIS beats SHIELD, and POI beats CF. :-)

Sadly, I missed “NCIS” last night, so I can’t say anything about the episode.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” was surprisingly good. Felt different and more serious than most episodes, wasn’t as cheesy as it usually is. Hope they keep it up.

“Person of Interest” was awesome. Shaw haters probably didn’t like it, but the episode was very good. I liked that we got to see a bit of Shaw’s past, and that ending was great.
Glad to see the gain in viewers. When was the last time a non-premiere episode of a show got close to 13 million viewers in that timeslot (Tuesdays at 10)?

  • AllOfHerTw!st

    @Robbie Bishop

NCIS last night was about a suspect in a current case who was pursued 15 years ago by Tony when he was a Baltimore cop, and of course there was some continuing focus on Ziva being gone. It was a decent episode, but there still seems to be a big void from her departure.

PERSON OF INTEREST posted the time period’s best viewers delivery for a regularly scheduled program since Sept. 25, 2012 (“Vegas” series premiere)

Wow!, POI skews almost as old as Vegas did.

    Vegas 2nd episode – 2.0/ 12.11m = 6.1/1.0
    Person of Interest – 2.2/ 12.94m = 5.9/1.0

Knock off of CSI….Surprised it does so well in ratings….Harmon leaves the show sinks…Not the same as CSI in that it Stars {CSI} have moved on, yet the show is still great,,,Its called “Meaty Story Line”!

  • Wright

I don’t watch them all, but they all seem like good shows.

I always liked the CSI’s and never minded NCIS for the few episodes that I saw (Go Summer School!), but I stopped watching all procedural shows around the time NCIS came on the air. I know some consider POI a procedural, but I find it more serial.

@Rob W- NCIS is NOT a knockoff of CSI at all. And Harmon’s not leaving.

I haven’t liked CSI ever since Fishburne left.

Poi is awesome. Last nights episode was epic. I love Shaw. Shield has me not paying attention when I watch it on dvr. Seems like its written for young teens and pre teens. No adult edge like the movie or a show like arrow.

Ncis n csi couldn’t be more different from each other beyond dead bodies and initials.

I predict that the ratings gap between NCIS & AOS will get bigger as the weeks progress!

POI had a solid episode. Story arc is very good, episode plots are full of suspense and action packed. The humor well placed, acting and character development are solid. The concept of the show is reflective of current events and bridges both suspense drama, sci-fi and action nicely. A typical CBS show, it feels like the old Equalizer series, and similar to the defunct ABC Human Target with a SciFi channel skew to it. One commenter remarked on why Chicago Fire’s demos are doing so well, and basically it was: good looking men and women, love triangles, add fire and uniforms… Hate to say this is a winning formula on any medium except romance novels.
