    @Networkman

I agree partially. Think NCIS LA should be moved to 8pm on Wednesday to kick start the night so that NCIS can launch a new show
However, I think expectations these days are very different. Few shows can get 3.0 demo and 12 million viewers anymore. The new normal is probably low to mid 2s for demos and 8 million viewers that allows it to be classified a HIT…
Most of CBS dramas still have some life in them

Next year, they should launch more dramas!

Their 3 new comedies are slowly finding its footing esp Mom which I think is the best of the newbies this year!

    NCIS is a beast!

any guesses on how the world series will effect the ratings for last night and tonight?

  • Jon

There is little chance both ncis shows would be cancelled in the same season let alone in just three more seasons. If I had to guess I would say ncis will be around as long as Harmon wants to do it. Zero chance criminal minds ends after just one more season especially after it shows signs of continued growth. Csi seems to have stabilized to a point where it seems safe for quite sometime. My guess is they will try to push for 20 years to try and match law and order.

POI keeps getting better and better!!!

  • Sarah

I just started watching Mindy Project and find it rather entertaining.

Why is everyone bragging about poi numbers? Cbs has stunted the growth of this show on Tuesday night. Its too bad because with as good as the episodes have been it would be getting high 2 or low 3 on its old night.

It’s making the best of a bad situation, namely an ill-advised schedule change.

Shaw started the ratings slide, and Tuesdays finished it. They both get the blame. I knew it was Shaw based, and I tried my best not to watch it. It was actually better than I thought and you’re right; it wasn’t because of Shaw. She dragged the show down. Carter brought her A-game and outshined her. That’s why she’s the lead, although the producers, writers and the media are shoving Shaw down our throats so hard it’s painfully obvious they want her to be the lead.

It’s working. They’re taking out the “bitch” in her character, her “kicking men’s butt twice her size” out of her, and they’re starting to make her a team character instead of being an ass. However, shoving her to the forefront and pushing the core four out of the way to show she’s a team player is not it. She’s simply not likeable because of how she was introduced in season 2 and how she kept coming back. She should have been like Zoe and Leon–in small doses–until she gains a bigger following.

Wow Supernatural. That was a great episode.

@III ” Carter brought her A-game and outshined her. That’s why she’s the lead, although the producers, writers and the media are shoving Shaw down our throats so hard it’s painfully obvious they want her to be the lead.”

And I wonder what is the AGENDA behind that? I find it deeply insulting. It’s insulting as a viewer, for the Carter character, and especially for Ms. Taraji P. Henson. She’s extraordinarily talented, and it’s like they are trying to say she’s “not good enough.” What? Not trying to make comparisons, but out of the 2 she’s the better actress.

I’ve actually never seen this done before. You have a great show with a great team that includes a great female lead. Then, somehow you (meaning The people running it) decide that this isn’t enough and you need a “new” girl who’s “more appealing” (yeah, right…) to come in and take over. Um, did they ever do that to Mariska Hargitay, Kathryn Morris, Marg Helgenberger, or any other female lead that was CLEARLY working???

I just don’t understand what’s up with this. It’s just wrong.

“She’s simply not likeable because of how she was introduced in season 2 and how she kept coming back. She should have been like Zoe and Leon–in small doses–until she gains a bigger following.”

And that’s the thing. I just don’t know how big of a following she’s supposed to get. Like you said, she was unlikeable from the start (I simply can’t stand that episode she was introduced in) and I don’t see her as likeable now. Zoe, I liked from the start, and Leon was okay. I don’t think either of them need to be mains, but they are much better than Shaw. 2-3 times a season is about all I could take of Shaw in small doses that would need to STAY small.

I honestly want to ditch this show because of her, but I like the other characters too much. Such a shame that they made it this way.

Google “I don’t see color” to better understand how racist and hurtful that phrase is.

I think this is a good summary of how it basically comes across when you say that:
“As if there is something so wrong in not being white that white people must somehow overlook that supposed fault to accept others.
The idea is that being different is bad, that to be accepted you have to be seen as the same somehow. That in the end white is right.

Not seeing colour will not make racism go away. Because it leaves untouched the idea that being different, of not being white, is somehow bad. Because by not seeing colour you do not see racism either, which keeps everything just the way it is.”

People are different, they’re not the same and it’s okay to acknowledge differences. It’s not okay to try to erase or deny those differences.

And TV does influence people, especially children. That’s proven fact.

On topic, congrats to Supernatural. Always glad to see a Cas episode get good ratings. And lol @Carl nice joke

Don’t come starting in on me because you are misinterpreting what I said.. What I basically mean is that I tray everyone as equals and don’t look at anyone as a race they are all individuals that aren’t based on color.. It’s ridiculous that you are trying to start with me.. If you don’t like what I said I don’t give a s***. You don’t know me, my race, gender or me as a person..

It looks like some of the AoS viewers have gone back to NCIS. FOX’s ratings are interesting. There’s less than a 20k diff in viewers from Dads to New Girl & yet over 500k diff in 18-49. So who’s making up the difference? Teens?
Powered by Supernatural, T is the CW’s strongest night right now. What a difference from last yr!

  • zapbob

LOL………………..AoS Viewers went to NCIS. Not til they turn 50!

  • BBFan

Supernatural Ratings: Fast 2.298m 1.0, Final 2.335 1.06. Diff: 37k. That means the Fast was really 1.04. I’d love to know what market caused that adjustment.

    Billiam

you’re literally a racist but good try buddy

  • Kenny

Happy for The Originals. Still good total ratings.

    @Dorothy5334
It’s telling how defensive and angry you seem from being called out on using a racist whitewashing phrase. I thought maybe you were innocently ignorant but I see now it’s more willful than that. I’ll try to remember to skip over your posts in the future.

  • Amy

Excellent ratings for NCIS, NCIS:LA, and Person of Interest. I still love both NCIS’, but POI is my current favourite, and this past Tuesday’s episode was amazing!!

  • mary

It’s amazing the people who keep mentioning only the “old” watch NCIS.
umm…they won the demo 18-49yr olds!
