Horrible rating for SVU. Not even getting half the total viewers or 18-49 demo it commanded just a few seasons ago. Sad to say, but NBC should put it out of its misery and cancel it. 15 years is a good run.

  • BBFan

SVU has monster synd value in both local & cable markets. It’s bar is much lower than other NBC shows.

  • Jon

@Ryan…..If you don’t like a show don’t watch it. It’s that simple. There are shows out there I don’t like but I don’t root for them to go away. It doesn’t affect me if I just turn the channel and don;t watch them.

  • Jon

I see one more season for svu. With syndication in place I think they will give it one more season. Besides that, NBC is still going to want to bring back a few veteran shows, they can’t and won’t cancel everything.

  • Jon

It’s too bad Back in the game hasn’t gathered more traction. That show is great. Lawson and Caan are pure comedy gold. It’s too bad they gave sfn that cushy after modern family spot. sfn looks like a shoe in to get renewed as it is holding up as it’s highest rated new comedy.

“When the CW Mon airs on Sun in NYC & Chicago that will adjust it’s L1″

I looked into this some more and it would appear that Nielsen probably won’t even count these figures. In any case, certainly not as L1. So, if you have anything concrete to back your statement, let’s see it. Otherwise, you’re just burning bandwidth.

  • BBFan

Sure you did. You went to then john, looked at your ass crack & said nope they won’t count it. That was your source. That was your common sense. Otherwise you’d provide a “credible” one. My source is $’s & sense. Nielsen isn’t just in the business of producing national ratings. Local ratings are a big slice of their pie. Advertisers pay them for both for coverage of the NYC & Chicago markets. They are the #1 & #3 markets in the nation. Nielsen is contractly obligated to provide those ratings.

  • Ram510

Well if Tomorrow people could barley get a .7 this week I doubt Reign will get a .6 this week.

  • Networkman

I feel like Back in the Game is all over the place. The main focus of the show should be on those boys on the baseball team. I think it is going in the wrong direction focusing on Maggie Lawson’s character love life. It is turning into getting this single woman back into the dating game and thus it will continue to drop further. Because it will be just another average relationship comedy.

This comedy should show the boys at school and how they are dealing with bullies and their struggle to improve academically, socially and athletically. Maggie Lawson’s character should be moral support for her son and the other boys, teaching them lessons about life.

Given AHS’s season premiere ratings, I’m really impressed CSI has now matched AHS in the demo this week.

  • eridapo

So the shows with the lowest A18-34 demo on the CW are:

    Tomorrow People 0.5, 0.7, 0.4
    HOD 0.4, 0.5, 0.4
    Beauty and The Beast 0.2, 0.3, 0.4

  • BBFan

    From the Nielsen data site:
The meter tracks what is watched, how long it’s watched, what is record, what is FF, & who is watching. The data is sent back to Nielsen each night & parsed into the various ratings based on the data from the meter. That includes live stream count & live + SD DVR. The ratings are available for up to 7 days after the initial air date. The meter makes the distinction between live or DVR & encodes that in it’s signal to the home office.

So in NYC & Chicago, Nielsen will recieve live+SD DVR encodes for those programs.

  • eridapo

Sorry the last number for BatB was wrong

    Beauty and The Beast 0.2, 0.3, .0.4

    Beauty and The Beast 0.2, 0.3, 0.3

  • omabin

Thank you for that! Very interesting. I with we could have systematic access to those. That makes me very worried for TTP though.
It is in striking distance from the CW core 4 shows and Reign’s pilot did quite better than its own pilot, not to mention that it hit a 18-34 series low in this last episode. That sucks.

  • Lukes

Again, every network went down on wednesday, so even a 0.6 for Tomorrow People should have been relativized.

  • jim g

NBC is abysmal like usual, should just air a snowy screen would probably get higher ratings then its awful scripted shows do.

  • Theoacme

@harry: ABC move once upon a time at wednesdays at 8 , modern family 8:30, the middle 9 and revenge at 10. move comedies back in the game and super fun night at sundays and let them die there.

1 – Drama / comedies / drama pattern makes no sense – please explain your logic.
2 – If you want to kill BITG and SFN, moving them to Fridays, or just axing them, makes more sense than moving them to Sundays (Animation Domination, remember FOX?)
3 – Unintentional humor, a typo – turning OUAT into a half hour drama? The Middle becoming a one hour comedy? That IS innovative thinking ;)
4 – Presuming you hate Nashville, killing it by moving it to Sunday makes sense, but it won’t help Revenge.
5 – What will you do with Last Man Standing and The Neighbors, who are on Friday now? Since SFN and BITG are not moving to Sundays (when was the last time ABC ran scripted comedy on Sundays?), you need to consider that.

  • Theoacme

@jim g – the Indian Head test pattern would do better ratings :)

Thanks for those. Goes to show Dixie is actually not doing so bad in the the 18-34 demo, seeing as how it’s also really cheap to produce, I see a full fourth season in its future. Also if I remember correctly it was doing extremely well with the CW’s key W18-34 demo (besting Arrow at times last season), so even if it’s fallen a bit, it’s here to stay. Now, TTP is really not doing too well with 18-34, so if it doesn’t grow, it’ll sadly be cancelled :(
