LIFETIME RENEWS Drop Dead Diva FOR SIXTH SEASON

Network Orders 13 Episodes for 2014 Return

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 25, 2013) – Lifetime has renewed its critically-acclaimed comedic drama Drop Dead Diva (#DropDeadDiva) for a sixth season with a 13 episode order.  The series will return next year.

Currently airing Sunday nights at 9pm ET/PT, Drop Dead Diva’s fifth season finale will air Sunday, November 3, at 9pm ET/PT, with a surprise visitor from Jane’s past who puts everything between her and Grayson on the line and potentially changes the course of Jane's life forever.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Drop Dead Diva, which tells the story of a shallow wannabe model who dies in a sudden accident only to find her soul resurfacing in the body of a brilliant, plus-size recently deceased attorney, stars Brooke Elliott, Margaret Cho, Jackson Hurst, April Bowlby, Justin Deeley, Lex Medlin and Kate Levering.

Josh Berman (Bones, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) is creator and executive producer. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Academy AwardÒ-winning Chicago, Bonnie & Clyde, Steel Magnolias) of Storyline Entertainment and Robert J. Wilson are executive producers.

I hope they keep it on summers! The latest ratings are terrible. I don’t watch this show anymore, but I’m glad it’s doing great.

We love it. Its a fun show some drama some comedy. Its a fun little show. They have explianed the guardian angel thing and i think its interesting to see what they will do with another season. Maybe jane will finally get grayson

I’d like it to stick to the summer airings, with no big hiatus in the middle of the season. I haven’t been as happy with it this season, but I still watch – streaming on Mondays on a site that gives me problems but it’s the only way I can watch (no cable/Lifetime). I wish they had their original guardian angel back on the show (from the cast photo posted on this thread); I haven’t liked the two that followed him as much. Still a fun show, and I still root for Jane/Deb to get Grayson in the end. Tired of her friend Stacy and her antics.

So happy about this! I don’t know why the ratings
were down for this current season because it was
one of the best! If you didn’t watch this season, you
really should so you don’t miss out!! Its fantastic.
And the writing was very clever this season!

colour me shocked! i thought this was the last season i don’t know if i have it me to string along another season of will jane and grayson finally get together and not just as a last minute thing in last episode
plus seeing fans discontent with this season no one was expecting a renewal
