Dracula-5-550x366

NBC's Friday night is getting a whole lot spookier tonight with the third season premiere of Grimm and the series premiere of Dracula. Last year, Grimm's second season premiered to a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating, and the season finale fell to a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Will this fairytale procedural stay stable for season 3? And can Dracula, which has had mixed reviews, make an impression tonight? Make your predictions below, and tell us your thought on this pair of premieres in the comments!

    I’ll watch the premiere of Dracula but if NBC doesn’t have much faith in it why should I? I doubt it’ll have the great cinematography/storytelling that Hannibal has though.

  • Rebecca

    I’ve been seeing lots of promos for both Grimm and Dracula (often on during the day, during Ellen’s talk show – thanks a lot, NBC…those ads scare my kiddo), so I hope they both do well. Not sure yet if I’ll try Dracula but I’ve seen all of Grimm and will keep watching.

  • Rebecca

    ^ Granted, I’ll admit my kiddo is a wuss.

  • Psac

    No buzz at all for Dracula, 1.3 being generous.
    1.8-1.9 for Grimm, though personally hope for higher.

    @BenA

    They are not going up against the World Series, there is no game tonight so that won’t affect the ratings. Glad to see Networks doing more 10 and 13 episode series, they are taking a lesson from cable.

  • Hannah

    .1 For the carrie diaries is completley immature!
    at most a .5 at less a .3 but not a .1

  • Jessie

    Dracula will flop

  • Babar Suhail

    Grimm: 1.8 to 1.9
    Dracula: 1.6 to 1.8

  • senor chang

    Grimm: 1.8
    Dracula: 1.7

  • Sal

    I hope the carrie diaries returns up :'(
    It deserves better!
    I hope it gets a 0.4+

  • Matt

    Grimm – 1.7 / 5.7 million viewers
    Dracula – 1.5 / 5 million viewers

    LMS – 1.4 / 6.3 million viewers
    The Neighbors – 1.1 / 4 million viewers
    Shark Tank – 1.7 / 6.5 million viewers

    H50 – 1.3 / 8 million Viewers
    BlueBloods – 1.5 / 10 million viewers

    Dracula is airing only 10 episodes, not 13. It’s a limited series.

    @Hannah
    It’s airing on Friday against original episodes from Undercover Boss and Master Chef Junior and has had absolutely no promotion from the CW.

    Not to mention that .3 was the series low for TCD last year and it only notched a .4 for its season finale.

    Factoring in year to year decline and a shift to Friday nights the best TCD could hope for is .2 and maybe .3 if it’s lucky.

    No way they both will be below 2.0.

  • Chris J

    Since Dracula is another cheap production like Hannibal it may get renewed for Friday next season if it retains ratings above a 1.0 during it’s 10 episode run. Same can be said of Crossbones.

  • NBC Fan

    Dateline-1.3
    Grimm-1.7
    Dracula-1.8

    Shark Tank-1.8
    20/20-1.1

    Undercover Boss-1.7
    Hawaii 5-0-1.4
    Blue Bloods-1.3

    MasterChef Junior-1.3

    Dracula looks awful and so I am going for under 1.2 – in truth it may get a bit more for the premiere but it will tank swiftly after. If it was even mediocre, NBC would not have scheduled it on the graveyard shift that is Friday 10pm when they have plenty of other slots where it could have gone (like replacing the already cancelled and terrible Ironside)

    Grimm – now that it’s a show that delivers solid supernatural entertainment, interesting plots and decent performances for the most part. The serialized element has made it more interesting to me as a show but perhaps less appealing to new viewers? I am still going for a bullish 2.1-2.2

  • BenA

    @The Colonel
    Thank you so much for the facts. I hope that Grimm breaks a 2 tonight.
