Scandal has no long term future and will not be Grey’s Anatomy’s successor.

Big adjustment for TBBT but The Millers lost 2.5 demo – that’s pretty bag. The crazy ones and TAHM had the same demo 2.3 – that’s good for the secong show. Elementary was not adjusted down – fortunately :)

The comedy block is not going well for CBS, and Elementary needs more support as a sophomore show against Scandal. I do think Scandal will drop more, though, and perhaps it’ll allow E a foothold.

Next season CBS Thursday is back too 2 comedy’s and 2 drama’s.

The Millers (Rob had better ratings)

2.5 Men (CBS doesn’t give shows finals, but maybe this time…)
    The Crazy Ones

    2 Broke Girls
    Big Bang Theory

It isn’t going all that good..

    TVD up TWO tenths Whaaaaaa

Unlike you, networks don’t care for thematic flows and match ups. If the ratings were good they’d have a serial killer show followed by My Little Pony, followed by a raunchy sitcom. The Crazy Ones might be a single cam show on a night of multicams, but CBS scheduled it there knowing that’s the case. Fact is, The Millers just lost 0.5 this week, whereas The Crazy Ones just fell a tenth. Next week when they both air without TBBT will be a clear sign which one needs to go.

As for the CW, same principle applies. They picked Reign knowing full well the premise and how different it is for them supposedly (it really isn’t, it’s a mash-up of TVD flash back and gossip girl with some history sprinkled on top). Proclaiming it dead after 2 episodes is a bit pre-mature. Saying they should put BATB in its place is ridiculous…

lmao at the scandal haters relishing scandal’s drop for a typical case-of-the-week episode (clear from the promo itself) against baseball and during a generally down week (idk how grey’s was spared, but hooray!).

scandal had a huge premiere that got universal praise from viewers and critics. then it fell 0.5 for week 2. there is no science to this. the bigger the numbers, the more they fluctuate. any negative “trends” or whatever will be clear once this fall run of episodes is over. i predict another drop next week to 2.6 or so since it’ll be halloween and then a steady rise for the following 5 episodes.

@rob60990 How long do you think revenge will last because I love that show

CBS Thursday is like NBC had with Friends.
One big hit who make the night strong and one ‘ok’ show (Will&Grace).

When Friends ended, the whole night ended, same situation on CBS.

Yep. I don’t think anyone believes Scandal is in the danger if being canceled this season. But if it slips back down to the mid to low 2s, a fifth season is definitely in jeopardy.

What’s hilarious to me is that many people bought into the hype and were convinced that show was going to further grow this season. Those 4.0+ predictions were laugh out loud funny. It appears that’s not happening. But rightfully so, the show stinks.

Plz, Scandal is still a hit, ABC’s #2 show and missing by .1 being tied for #1 network drama this week. Even if it goes down a full third from today it’ll still be winning its timeslot.

  • HeadlessHorseman (formerly JacobYates)

That’s right, I totally forgot that a show’s long term success is directly determined by how much you hate it.

  • j

If it stays in the mid-2s that is a hit that would definitely require a 5th season.
I’m not even a fan of the show, but really though.

benz and starfish there maybe a game 7 of the world series next thursday

Looks like Scandal’s fifteen minutes are up. This is likely the last week it beats Grey’s Anatomy.

  • sandy245

I’d love to see The Crazy Ones air after Big Bang Theory instead of The Millers. This way I wouldn’t have to change the channel at 8:30 and come back at 9 for The Crazy Ones.
I don’t agree with the concept of shows having to necessarily flow with each other throughout the evening. Besides, I think The Crazy Ones fits nicely in the comedy lineup and moving Mom over from Mondays to the 9pm slot afterwards would be great since I think that show isn’t nearly as bad as The Millers.

  • Candy

    @Chloe, till season 4

@Gemma, obviously you were only seeing unrealistic fan-girls predictions, with the luck ABC’s having with new shows’ every year, I wouldn’t say it’s too far a stretch for the show to garuntee a 5th season, especially since that season will bring the show to it’s syndication number. And a 5 season run is good for any show, so all’s well that ends well. The end.

  • HeadlessHorseman (formerly JacobYates)

So it hits a 2.9 and its 15 minutes are up? How do you figure?

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

Next week The Millers and the Crazy Ones will completely collapse with it being a holiday and with repeats as a lead in and lead out.

I think Saturday Night Live Halloween could get around a 1.7-1.9 rating.
The Weekend Update Thursday specials that had to self start usually got high ones.

ABC’s 8pm hour being beaten by the CW? Humiliating.
